I work full time as a school counselor, and in the summer I have a ton of availability to take care of your dog especially for longer trips.

I have a great walkable neighborhood and live in a one-bedroom apartment with Cody. I love having pets in the bed and on the couch and taking them for 2 walks a day, weather-permitting. If your dog’s safe space is their crate, I am happy to use it and provide some comfort to your dog when they will be in a new environment. I am covered in dog hair all the time, so I am dog shed friendly, and vacuum at least once weekly, sometimes more!

Let me know your dog’s experience with other dogs, especially since Cody is such a love bug. I do not crate my own dog, but if you have a crate and want your dog to use it, I am happy to accommodate. When I am dog sitting the most I will leave the dogs, other than when I am working, is for 4 hours. If your dog needs more frequent check in’s or bathroom breaks, definitely let me know!

I love to give munch time with hard toys and play fetch inside the apartment. Cody loves the dog park and playing with other dogs, particularly corgis, huskies, golden retrievers, and German shepherds. We like to learn different tricks for treats like rollover, paw, and what we are currently working on, playing dead. Other times, we love to chill out and watch one of our shows, like the new season of Survivor. I think it’s important to give young dogs at least two long walks a day, especially dogs that live in an apartment setting!

I own a 4 year old rescue named Cody who is the medium white and black dog in my pictures! He is a cuddle bug and loves to be near his humans. Cody is a calming presence for other dogs that I dog sit, and at the same time he loves to play. He is truly a very good boy and loves spending time with other dogs. He is leash trained, and we use a harness. I exclusively use positive reinforcement, and I never use punishment such as the prong collar, electric collar, or anything of that nature. When I dog sit for other families, I love to send their humans updates with pictures, food status, and health updates every day. I have experience taking care of elderly dogs and giving pill-based medicine, and Cody lives part time with a 12 year old rescue. In one of my jobs post-college, I worked as a dog daycare attendant, and in this capacity, I supervised, walked, fed, and bathed all kinds of dogs.

Sam had a fantast8cc time with Erin and Cody. He can be a bit nervous in new surroundings and Erin made him feel right at home his first night. Lots of walks, snuggled, and scratches (all of his favorite things)!
Erin was fantastic! My two goldens made themselves right at home and she made sure to share lots of pics. I’ll definitely be checking with her first next time I need to be away!
