We have a fenced yard with plenty of room for your dogs to safely explore. We can crate your dog or let them roam free in the house.

Information Erin & Kevin K. would like to know about your pet

To ensure a safe, enjoyable, and stress-free experience for everyone we have a strong preference for dogs that meet the following criteria: Good with Small Children: As a family with a young child, it's crucial that any dog we care for is comfortable and gentle around small children. They should not be anxious around toddlers who frequently offer hugs. House Training: We require that all dogs staying with us are house-trained. No History of Biting: For the safety of our family and to maintain a peaceful atmosphere, we cannot accept dogs with a history of biting or aggressive behavior. Non-Defensive About Food: Dogs who are not overly protective or defensive about their food are essential in our setting, especially with a young child around, who loves offering dogs treats and may reach into a dog bowl to do so.

A typical day

Our goal is to create a safe, enjoyable, and engaging experience for your dog, who will be cared for as though they are part of the family. Here's what a typical day looks like in our care. Morning Routine: Exploring our fenced tiered garden yard before a meal, allowing your dog to wake up to the fresh morning sea air and have a leisurely sniff around. Long, Customizable Afternoon Walks: Each day includes one (or more) long walks, which I am happy to adjust according to your dog's needs and energy levels. Whether it's a brisk walk to keep active dogs engaged or a leisurely stroll for older or more relaxed dogs, we tailor our walks to suit them best. Park Visits and Playtime: Often, our walks lead us to a local park where we engage in playtime. If your dog enjoys fetching a ball or simply roaming around a bit more freely, this is the perfect time for it. Receive pets and attention throughout the day: With two adults working from home, there's always someone nearby to offer a scratch behind the ears, a bowl refill, let them out, or see to their individual needs. Dog-Friendly Outings: For dogs that relish extra attention and social outings, we occasionally visit dog-friendly establishments on Alki Beach where they can receive even more attention from the community. Evening Relaxation: After an active day, we wind down with some quiet time in the house. This is the time for cuddles, gentle petting, and settling in for the night. Your Dog's Fit With Our Family: We welcome dogs that are good with small children. It's essential that your dog is house-trained, calm, and non-anxious, without a history of biting or being defensive about food. This helps us maintain a safe and peaceful household for everyone.

Pet care experience

My journey in pet care has been fueled by a genuine love for animals and a commitment to providing the best care possible. I have owned and cared for dogs large and small, from German Shepards, labs, to chihuahuas for over 20 years. A Family of Dog Lovers: Our home isn't just a place for pet care; it's a haven where your dog will receive love and attention from our entire family. With two adult dog enthusiasts and an energetic toddler who adores playing ball and petting dogs, your furry friend will be embraced as part of our family during their stay. Located in the Scenic Alki Beach Neighborhood of West Seattle: Our home is nestled in the beautiful and vibrant neighborhood of Alki Beach in West Seattle, an ideal location for dog walking and play. This picturesque setting offers a perfect blend of outdoor activities for your dog. Your pup will enjoy neighborhood walks along the beach and to dog-friendly parks. Fenced Yard for Exploration and Play: Our home offers a securely fenced yard to ensure safety while allowing dogs the freedom to explore and enjoy the outdoors. This charming, multi-level tiered garden space is perfect for dogs who love to sniff around and engage with their environment. Exclusive One-on-One Care: In our home, we believe that every dog deserves individual attention and tailored care. That's why we only care for one dog at a time. This approach ensures that your pup will receive our full attention, love, and care throughout their stay. Inclusive Approach to Dog Breeds: I welcome dogs of all breeds, as long as they are under 100 pounds. This policy allows me to ensure a safe and comfortable experience for each pet in my care. Strong communication skills: I believe in keeping pet owners updated with regular, detailed updates about their beloved pets. During their stay, daily photos and an update will be provided.

Erin and Kevin are so good with my big, eager-to-please GSP dog. They send amazing pics and Pip is always so happy to run up the stairs to greet them when we drop her off. Thanks Erin and Kevin!

Erin & Kevin were so wonderful with our Apollo! We are from out of town and had to go home suddenly, so it was our first time using Rover. Erin sent frequent updates of Apollo and sent the cutest pictures - and he clearly had a blast! Highly recommend!

Erin and Kevin took the best care of our guy! Our dog is usually so nervous and shy but he warmed up to them pretty quickly and looked like he had a great time. Tons of walks, cuddles, and updates along the way. Their kiddo is very sweet and did a great job respecting our dog’s needs and boundaries while he settled in. Would absolutely recommend and rebook. 10/10!
