Safety, trust & environment

I live in apartment complex with one of my dogs, so I am not currently accepting pets into my home. There are a bunch of great parks, walking paths, and hiking trails near me that I would love to take your pet. I am more than willing to transport dogs in my car.

Information Erin H. would like to know about your pet

As your pet sitter, I want to provide the best care possible for your furry friend. Here's some essential information I'll need before we begin: 1. Contact Information: Your contact number and backup contact in case of emergencies. Vet's contact information in case medical attention is needed. 2. Pet's Routine: Feeding schedule, including types of food and any dietary restrictions. Exercise routine, such as preferred activities and duration. Bathroom habits and any specific cues they use. 3. Health and Medications: Any ongoing medical conditions or allergies. Current medications, dosage instructions, and times for administration. Emergency procedures or special care instructions related to their health. 4. Behavioral Insights: Temperament and social behavior with people and other animals. Triggers or fears they may have (e.g., thunderstorms, loud noises). Favorite toys, games, or activities they enjoy. 5. Home Details: Location of food, treats, toys, and other essentials. Instructions for accessing and securing your home, including alarm codes or keys. Any areas of the home that are off-limits or need special attention. 6. Emergency Plans: Your preferences for emergency veterinary care and decision-making authority. Any specific instructions or contact information for neighbors or nearby family members who can assist if needed. 7. Additional Services: Additional tasks you'd like me to perform, such as bringing in mail or watering plants. Any other specific instructions or preferences you have for their care and well-being.

A typical day

As your dedicated pet sitter, I understand that each pet has their own unique personality and preferences. Here are some exciting activities I love to do with pets to keep them happy and entertained while you're away: 1. Playtime Galore: Nothing beats a good game of fetch, tug-of-war, or chasing feathers for our feline friends! I ensure to bring along their favorite toys or use interactive toys to keep them engaged and active. 2. Outdoor Adventures: Whether it's exploring nearby parks, going on scenic walks, or just enjoying some fresh air in the backyard, I love taking pets on safe and stimulating outdoor adventures. It's a great way for them to burn off energy and discover new scents and sights. 3. Puzzle Play: For the curious and intelligent pets, I enjoy setting up puzzle toys or treat dispensers to challenge their minds and keep them mentally sharp. It's both enriching and rewarding to see them problem-solve! 4. Cuddle Sessions: Sometimes, pets just need some quality cuddle time and affection. Whether it's lounging on the couch together or cozying up for bedtime snuggles, I'm always ready to shower them with love and attention. 5. Training and Tricks: If your pet enjoys learning new tricks or needs a refresher on basic commands, I'm happy to incorporate short training sessions into our daily routine. Positive reinforcement and treats make learning fun and rewarding! 6. Relaxation and Pampering: For our more laid-back companions, I ensure they get plenty of relaxation and pampering. Brushing, gentle massages, or simply lounging together with soothing music can create a peaceful environment they'll love. 7. Photo Updates: I know how much you miss your furry friend, so I make sure to capture adorable moments and send you photo updates throughout my time with them. It's a little something to brighten your day and reassure you that they're in good hands. 8. Customized Care: Above all, I tailor activities to suit your pet's preferences and your instructions. Whether they thrive on high-energy play or prefer quiet companionship, I adapt to ensure their comfort and happiness.

Erin is one of the most responsible people I know. She's balancing college, a job, and volunteering with various clubs and organizations on campus. She's had multiple dogs and cats her whole life and they're so well cared for and loved. All of her pets receive fantastic care and are exercised according to their needs: her young dog goes on longer walks while her older dogs and cats get less intense play. Any animal placed into her care is going to be well-loved and cared for as if they are her own.
