I grew up with dogs and spent 10+ years caring for my own rescue dog, Jack. I spent 5+ years volunteering at an animal shelter, fostering dogs, and taking shelter dogs running. I have completed dog training courses for all of those activities. I understand just how much trust it takes to put your dog in someone else’s care. I’m attentive, patient and affectionate, and I treat every dog as an individual with their own personality, routines and needs. I have extensive experience with senior dogs and the additional care they may require, including administering medications, preparing special meals, assisting with mobility, adapting walks and activities, and following detailed care routines. I’m also very observant of changes in behavior, appetite, energy and comfort. I genuinely enjoy spending time with dogs—whether that means a good walk, playtime, exploring outside, or simply keeping them company at home. I’m reliable and responsible, and I’ll follow your instructions carefully so your dog can stay as close as possible to their normal routine while you’re away. My apartment is large, spacious, and quiet. I am in the first floor so it is accessible for senior dogs. I have a gated patio which adds security to the front area. My complex is quiet and has walking paths and grassy areas, with very few dog owners - and we keep our dogs separate and away from each other. Your dog will be safe and secure with me.
