I have a full-time job as a Public Librarian in Clinton Township (working 4 days a week in person, working from home on Mondays). Most of my clients like me to stay while they are going out of town. I'm always happy to agree to pet sitting, unless I feel that I would be gone too long during the day. A couple of my clients supplement my staying with one friend stopping by during my work shift, to let the pets out. I don't have pets currently, because I think it would be unfair and irresponsible if I couldn't give them the attention they deserve. I usually have really good availability around holidays, especially when the library is closed.

I am happy to take care of your pets in the way that you would take care of them. Because I don't currently have pets, I usually take them out a lot and give them a lot of attention and treat them like my surrogate pets, when I care for them. I probably spoil them a bit with attention, but I don't want them to feel sad or anxiety while their families are away, but feel happy to have a new friend that cares about them. I also extremely respect peoples homes and boundaries. I like to leave your home in the same or better condition, if I can help tidy anything. I am also happy to pick up your mail and water plants, etc. as needed.

Pet care experience
I started taking care of pets as a child. Over the years, my family has had two cats, two dogs, a bird, fish, and several hamsters. When I was a teenager, I started walking and grooming Old English Sheepdogs for show. I helped take care of several litters of their puppies as well. I started petsitting around 20 years ago, watching mostly dogs and cats. I had a household with 5 puppies I cared for at one time. I have also sat for several older pets with medical needs. I have a few regular clients, but a few others I had have moved away.

So delighted to have Erin and Megan watch my dog. Erin was a very good sport to stay in my house mid-remodel and took excellent care of both my pet and my home. I appreciated the updates and her responsiveness. I know my dog appreciated all of the snuggles, games and enrichment activities!
Erin was lovely and was a great friend to my senior cat while I was away. Would definitely use again!
