Animal Trainer turned Pet Sitter
To say I love animals is an understatement. Living without a dog in the house has never been an option! I have 15 years of pet care experience professionally speaking, but I have had pets my entire life. I was the girl that couldn't pass up a chance to pet a passing dog or snuggle my friends pets. While I love them all, I am only willing to take dogs or caged animals at this time. For years I was an animal trainer and in fact got my first job as a trainer here in Hawaii at Sea Life Park back in 2004. When I left the island 2 years later I worked with a company that adopted dogs and cats and trained them for live animal shows. I would often bring some of the dogs home with me for overnights and so my dog had a playmate for a bit. I even adopted one of the retired dogs from the show. I also regularly watched co-workers pets when needed.

Thank you so much for watching our dog. It was such a relief knowing she was well cared for. She’s a senior dog with daily medications and special needs, and Erin and her family did a wonderful job making sure she was comfortable and safe. Erin & Colby are the perfect Auntie & Uncle for your fur baby. Our Makena is a SR dog that has some problems. Erin did not hesitate to text us with concerns that may have been a problem. She took it took heart what we advised and she patiently followed through. We will definitely be using them when a vacation comes up.
Erin & her family took wonderful care of our dog. They met with us for a meet and greet to make sure our dogs would get along beforehand. My dog was so excited to go to their house the next for her stay. Erin sent photos and kept our girl happy, fed & entertained. Eric even agreed to add on a drop off to accommodate us. Schedule
I work from home full-time so someone is here most of the day for walks, attention, potty breaks, administering meds and treats. I often take morning walks to the beach with my dog Dexter and we would love to have a companion. There is also a dog park that is less than 1/2 mile from my home. If your dog is good in this environment then we will be sure to visit during your dog's stay. Dexter is a mixed breed dog and he has been the sweetest and most patient dog I've ever had. He really enjoys playing with other dogs and has a fair amount of energy for his 12 years. However, he also enjoys napping a lot while I'm working. Having another dog that can match his energy would be ideal.

I have a small fenced in yard with a lanai, giving the dogs room to play and chill. There is also plenty of opportunities to for walks and visiting the dog park. I have a 5 year old in the home that absolutely loves dogs as much as I do. He is in school for most of the day but will be more than happy to snuggle and play with another dog once he gets home.
Pets
A typical day
My 5 year old's fav thing to do is run around the house with the dogs - I'm never sure who's chasing who in these situations...LOL! The great thing is that both are burning some of that energy. Your dog will also be able to join our walks to the beach, around the lagoon or to the dog park.
