Pet care experience

Lifelong experienced caregiver!

Love animals, always have! When I turned 6 and was finally old enough to take care of an animal, I adopted my first pet. Pretty soon afterwords, neighbors and friends started hiring me for pet care and I had my very first job. As a life-long pet owner myself, I understand wanting to make sure that your pet is comfortable, happy, getting their needs met, and most importantly safe while you’re away. You can be confident that I will always care for your pets like I would for my own. My partner and I own a home in the Berkeley neighborhood in NW Denver, CO, with a large fully fenced-in yard, walking distance to multiple parks and dog parks. However, you may notice that my Rover profile lists me in a different location. That's because I travel in order to provide care for my clients, so please feel free to reach out no matter how far away you are, I love to see new places and am happy to come to you! I’ve cared for pets of all ages, at my home as well as theirs, who’ve had physical health issues, are escape artists, had anxiety disorders, as well as administered medication needs (inhalers and injections included). I leash and house trained my past dog, a previously abused adult husky rescue, using positive behavior reinforcement and will always use humane methods to care for any animal. Please note that I personally do not use nightingale or electric collars AND I also understand that some of my clients do. I’m always more than happy to work with owners and pets to find a solution that works for everyone while they are in my care. This can include teaching behavioral training or using a different type of harness (which I keep a few of at home to use when needed) to help improve pulling or lunging.

House Sitting • Nov 28, 2025

Erin was an excellent cat/ house sitter during our extended trip. She communicated very well leading up to our trip , was extremely attentive to our cat and home and sent great updates. We would definitely recommend her to other pet owners. It easy to see that our cat was very comfortable with her and she really put our mind at ease so we could enjoy our time away.

Safety, trust & environment

They are welcome to play or relax in the backyard which is completely surrounded by a 7 foot tall fence. If your pet is dog and people friendly, and would like some interaction with neighbors walking their dogs past our house, they are welcome to enjoy the unfenced front yard (while they are secured with a secure, extendable tie out) and greet other dogs and people for some additional social interaction. Please let me know the amount of walks/exercise and/or time spent at the nearby dog park that your pet will need.

Pets

A typical day

Love to entertain them with toys, give treat puzzle games, and play fetch and in our backyard. We go on walks around the neighborhood, to either of the parks nearby and walk around the lakes, hit up the dog park for some playtime and socialization, go hiking, or just relax at home and get cuddles … whatever speed your loved one needs! I especially love to ride my bicycle with dogs who want to jog alongside, so if your pup might enjoy that I’m happy to teach them/give it a try!
