I work from home so I would be in your home most of the time, outside of any social engagements I might have. I am very flexible and will adjust to whatever the pets’ routine is.

It is important to stick to the pet’s routine as closely as possible. This would be discussed with each pet parent what the pet needs to stay safe.

If your dog doesn’t like meeting dogs on a leash this is important to know as many dog owners will just walk up to other dog owners so it’s important i know prior so can ask people to keep their distance. I also would need to know if any pets are escape artists so I can be extra careful when coming and going. It’s important to know of any allergies or medical conditions. I also Like to know any quirks, favorite things, etc.
A typical day
If I’m watching your dog, we will take nose walks around the area (nose walks mean the dog follows its nose- it is more enriching as well as uses more energy). I will also play with dogs and cats as much as they want when I’m not working, with whatever their favorite toys or games are. If it’s ok if they’re on the furniture I love to snuggle on the couch and let them sleep with me if that is allowed.

I have been in love with dogs since before I could talk. Dog was my third word!!! I've been doing foster care with a rescue group for 15 years, and have experience with behaviors and breeds ranging from Chihuahuas to Mastiffs. I’ve also ventured into caring for cats as well after my schnauzer died (he chased cats). I have grown to love cats!!! I love all animals. My senior terrier mix named Charlie passed away on Labor Day 2023. My Charlie had a spinal injury, so he used a doggie wheelchair and I had to express his bladder. I would be willing to assist any special needs dogs with these types issues. I have cared for dogs with leash reactivity and understand how to work with them. I also haves cared for many timid dogs and understand the best ways to gain their trust. I like To learn the animal I am caring for to provide the best care!

Erin has watched my dogs several times over the years and, as always, did a great job communicating, sending photos, and most importantly taking care of my dogs for two weeks. Also left the house in great shape.

Erin was fabulous! She was incredibly communicative and quick to respond to messages. Our doggos loved her from the moment she arrived for the meet-and-greet, and it was clear she’s a dog lover at heart. One of our dogs is a bit shy, and she won him over in no time. Our other dog is recovering from major cancer surgery, and Erin did a wonderful job keeping a close eye on her and giving her lots of extra love. She had no trouble sticking to their feeding routine, sent lots of photos and updates, and really helped put our minds at ease, especially with our dog, who needs a bit of extra care right now. She also took them on long walks and handled cleanup well despite it being mud season. Bonus: she even helped feed our coral reef fish tanks! We know we can count on Erin and are looking forward to having her house sit again. Thanks, Erin!
