What sets me apart from other sitters is my background in Animal Science and my hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals. I grew up on a small family ranch caring for livestock, dogs, cats, and other animals, and I am currently studying Animal Science with a pre-veterinary focus at California State University, Chico. I have experience with pets of all ages, from energetic kittens and puppies to senior pets who need extra patience and attention. I understand the importance of following detailed care instructions, administering basic medications when needed, monitoring for changes in behavior or health, and making sure pets feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I also enjoy spending quality time with animals through play, enrichment activities, and walks, rather than simply stopping by to feed them. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to have someone trustworthy caring for your pet, and I treat every animal as if they were my own.

When caring for pets in a client’s home, I focus on maintaining their normal routine to help them feel comfortable and reduce stress while their owner is away. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding schedules, medications, exercise, and any special needs. For dogs, this includes walks, playtime, potty breaks, and plenty of attention. For cats, I make sure they have fresh food and water, a clean litter box, and daily interaction based on their personality and comfort level. I also monitor pets for any changes in behavior, appetite, or overall well-being and communicate updates with owners so they can have peace of mind. In addition to caring for the pets, I respect and care for the client’s home by keeping it clean, secure, and exactly as they left it.

Schedule
Pet care is already a regular part of my daily routine. As a pet owner myself, I care for my cat every day by feeding him, cleaning his litter box, playing with him, and making sure he gets plenty of attention and enrichment. I also grew up caring for a variety of animals on my family’s ranch, so tending to animals has always been a normal part of my life. My part-time work schedule gives me flexibility to check on pets before and after work, and I am committed to following each pet’s routine as closely as possible. I understand that consistency is important for animals, and I make it a priority to ensure they receive the care, exercise, companionship, and attention they need while their owners are away.
