I work for a school district, so my schedule is very flexible during the summer. During the school year, I’m available after work, on weekends, and during all school breaks and holidays.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a cat, so my home is as cat-proof as possible (although he still manages to find trouble sometimes!). I use pet-friendly cleaning products and always make sure pets have a safe, clean, and comfortable environment. If I’m caring for your pet in your home, I’ll follow your routines and instructions carefully to help them feel comfortable and keep everything consistent.
Information Erika R. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for your pet, I’d love to know about their routine, personality, and any special needs. Some things that are helpful to know include: * Are they friendly with other dogs or cats? * Do they have any dietary restrictions, allergies, or medications? * How are they with children and new people? * Do they have any fears, triggers, or behaviors I should know about? * What are some of their favorite toys, treats, or activities? * Is there anything that helps them feel more comfortable while you’re away?
A typical day
Every pet is different, so I like to tailor my care to their personality and energy level. For dogs, that means walks around my neighborhood, playtime, trips to the park, and even hikes if you’re comfortable with that. For cats, I’m happy to spend time playing with their favorite toys, giving them plenty of attention (or space if they prefer), and, of course, lots of head scratches and cuddles if they’re in the mood.

Pet care experience
Three years ago, I adopted my cat, and he quickly became one of the most important members of our family. Caring for him has taught me how important patience, consistency, and lots of love are when it comes to pets. I know how hard it can be to trust someone else with a pet you love, so I’ll make sure yours feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. Whether your pet loves to play, cuddle, or just have someone nearby, I’ll treat them with the same care and attention I give my own.

Reviews
Erika is very great with animals, you can tell how much she really cares and loves them. She treats them as if they were her own children. She always gets excited when she sees a cat or a dog and you can see the sparkle in her eye. I'm sure in the near future I could see her house filled with pets more than kids.
