Safety, trust & environment

When caring for pets in your home, my top priority is maintaining their normal routine and comfort. I am a highly respectful houseguest and will follow all of your instructions regarding feeding schedules, potty breaks, and playtime. By keeping your pet in their familiar environment, I am able to help reduce stress and ensure that they feel as safe and secure as possible while you're away.

Information Erika O. would like to know about your pet

* Behavior and Temperament: Are they a cuddle bug, playful, shy, or something else? Do they have any quirks, like a love for bringing you socks or a refusal to go potty in the rain? Are there any specific triggers (e.g., thunder, vacuums, bicycles), and if so, what helps to calm them down? * Socialization: How do they behave around new people, kids, and other pets? * Daily Routine: Please provide details on their feeding schedule, walking routine, bathroom breaks, and sleeping arrangements. * Training: What training have they had? Are they crate-trained, leash-trained, and do they know any commands? **Important note: I am NOT comfortable with electronic, choke, or prong/pinch collars and will not use these items on your dog. * Dietary Needs: Are there any allergies, dietary restrictions, or medications I should be aware of? * Health and Safety: For the well-being of all pets, I require that all clients provide proof of up-to-date vaccinations, parasite prevention, and a current license (if applicable). Please be prepared to show this information. * Emergency Contact: Please provide the contact information for your veterinarian in case of illness or an emergency. * Anything else you feel will help me to create a positive experience for your pet and myself during your absence!

A typical day

Realizing that each pet their own personality and needs, here are some of the activities that I enjoy doing to keep your fur babies preoccupied and not too focused on missing you while you're gone: * Lots of walks - I'm an active person, so if they're up for it, I am too! * Playtime, games, & enrichment - I'm a big fan of fetch, tug-of-war, hide and go treat, snuffle mats, puzzle toys, stuffed kongs, etc. * Car rides and coffee/puppuccino runs * Visiting pet-friendly stores and patios * Snuggles on the couch and co-op nap time * Gentle brushing (if they enjoy it)

Compassionate, experienced pet care

Pet care experience

* Privately insured & Pet First Aid/CPR certified. Now providing pet care services to the Billings area! ☀️🐕🐈 My life has always revolved around pets, so I understand that they're not just animals—they're part of your family. While I have some background in animal care, I feel that my greatest experience comes from a lifetime of caring for my own dogs and cats—most recently a beloved senior cat. This personal experience has made me especially compassionate and patient with pets of all ages and needs. Here are a few other things that set me apart: * I volunteered as a canine companion (i.e., dog walker) at the Nebraska Humane Society, giving me hands-on experience with a variety of breeds and temperaments. * I'm well-versed in administering medications to both dogs and cats. * I've completed positive reinforcement puppy classes and can handle high-anxiety pets. * I'm comfortable with basic bathing and nail trims. I'm prepared to bring all of this experience to caring for your pet and will give them the same love and attention as I would my own.

First time leaving our puppy with anyone overnight. We were very happy with Erika. Her knowledgeable of dogs and working with puppies was a comfort. You can tell she loves animals. We will definitely use her again if available.

Erika was an amazing pet sitter. She did great with our 3 dogs. She went above and beyond in taking care of our dog who had an ear infection. She went and picked up his medication from the vet and administered to him. She sent several photo updates and was great with communication. She was also sweet enough to offer to do some light housekeeping tasks prior to our return home. I highly recommend Erika and plan to use her again in the future!
