Doggy Day Care • May 16, 2026

Erika is a professional dog handler and caregiver. She gathered information deliberately about my pup, made sure he was going to be comfortable at her place, and sent me updates. I couldn’t ask for a better sitter.

Doggy Day Care • May 07, 2026

We had an outstanding experience with Erika. She really went the extra mile in being prepared, communicating well with us and giving Ruby a lot of exercise, as well as companionship with her dog. Highly recommended.

Erika is a deeply compassionate person with experience as a search and rescue dog trainer. She is steadfastly calm around the many horses she cares for and fantastic at clearly communicating with humans and animals alike. I definitively trust her with all my furry and feathered pets!

Schedule

Caring for dogs fits naturally into my daily routine, which is built around structure, movement, and consistency. I start every morning with a long walk or active play session to help dogs burn energy and start the day calm and focused. In the evenings, I wind down with another round of exercise—whether it’s a jog, a game of fetch, or a relaxed neighborhood stroll. This rhythm not only keeps dogs physically healthy, but also supports good behavior and a balanced mindset. With my background in K9 work, I know just how vital daily movement is—and every dog in my care gets the attention and activity they need to thrive.

Safety, trust & environment

Pets in my care get to enjoy a peaceful, spacious environment on my 5-acre ranch, complete with a full acre securely fenced just for dogs to run, play, and explore. Whether they're chasing balls, lounging in the shade, or enjoying structured playtime, dogs have the freedom to be dogs—safely and under watchful supervision. It's a calm, enriching setting that gives pets a true break from the kennel experience and lets them feel right at home.

Pets

A typical day

Each day starts early with morning potty breaks and a long walk or off-leash play session in my secure, 1-acre fenced dog yard. This gives your pup the chance to stretch, sniff, and burn energy before breakfast. After a healthy meal and some rest time, the mid-morning hours include enrichment activities like treat puzzles, basic training refreshers, or supervised play with other compatible dogs. Afternoons are calm and relaxed—perfect for lounging indoors, sunbathing on the porch, or joining me for light ranch chores if they enjoy staying active. As the day cools down, we gear up for another walk or play session in the early evening to keep energy balanced and tails wagging. Dinner is followed by more down time, snuggles, and a final potty break before settling in for the night. Whether your dog prefers high-energy fun or laid-back companionship, I tailor the day to meet their individual needs—always with safety, structure, and affection at the heart of it.

To provide the best care possible, I like to get to know each dog’s unique personality, needs, and routine. Before any stay, I ask for details like feeding schedule, medication (if any), exercise preferences, and any allergies or health concerns. It’s also helpful to know how your dog does with other dogs, their recall skills, and if they have any fears or triggers (like loud noises or being left alone). The more I know, the more I can make your dog feel at home and tailor their experience to keep them happy, healthy, and stress-free. My goal is to provide a smooth transition and consistent care that mirrors your dog’s home life as closely as possible.
