I've had dogs and cats for as long as I can remember, so caring for animals has always been part of my life. Growing up, we always had pets in the family, and over the years I've cared for everything from puppies and kittens to senior pets with more specialized needs. I've also pet sat for neighbours, relatives, and coworkers, both paid and unpaid. What I enjoy most about pet sitting is getting to know each animal's personality. Every pet is different, and I like figuring out what each one enjoys most! Different dogs find joy in exploring trails for hours, while others prefer activities like tug-of-war, chasing balls, or sniffing every tree on the block. Some cats immediately curl up beside you when you arrive, whereas others prefer to watch from afar until they're ready for a greeting. I enjoy meeting each of them on their own terms. Over the years, I've gained experience with puppy training, recall, enrichment, senior care, and administering oral, liquid, topical, eye, and ear medications. I've also cared for pets with anxiety, seizure disorders, blindness, deafness, and reactivity, so I understand how important patience, routine, and consistency are. The biggest reason I'm on Rover is simple. I genuinely love being around animals. Since moving away for university, one of the things I've missed most is having pets as part of my everyday life. Spending time with them doesn't feel like a job to me; it's something I look forward to. My goal is to make sure your pet feels comfortable, safe, and cared for while you're away, and to give you peace of mind knowing they're in good hands.
