Erika and her daughter took awesome care of my baby Selah. It was an easy transaction and they made us feel 100% comfortable. My dog and Erika’s daughter seemed to really bond well together and had plenty of fun! I would recommend Erika and definitely use her in the future! A big thank you again!!!(:(:

Animals Are Family

Having owned dogs and animals my whole life, I know how difficult it can be to part with your pet while you’re away. When your dog stays with me – a loving, attentive mom and dog owner – they’ll feel cared for as if they were at home.

I love how each dog has their own personality. They are very complex, just like humans, and it takes time to learn their personalities. I also love ...

What Erika would like to know about your dog

I’d like to know about any issues with aggression, and how your dog handles introductions to new dogs and people. Any time I introduce a new dog to mine, I always do it without the visiting dog’s owners in the room. This is because I know this is a very exciting moment for both animals and I don’t want the visiting dog to feel they need to protect their owner and possibly be aggressive. I also do not believe in introducing with leashes attached, as this can also spark aggression. My dog has been around numerous dogs and I always just let them sniff it out in a neutral area of my home. I pay close attention to any tension on either part, and I know how to handle these situations — I quickly get in between and let them know I am the pack leader. Like I said, I have a lot of experience with many breeds.
