Caring for yours like my own ❤️
I’ve been a dog lover for as long as I can remember. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life, and I genuinely love spending time with them. I have my own dog, Diego, who means the world to me. Whenever I need someone to look after him, I use Rover too, so I know exactly how important it is to find someone who will care for your dog as if they were their own. That’s exactly how I treat every dog that stays with me. I make sure they feel safe, settled, loved, and included, and I do everything I can to make their stay fun and enjoyable. I grew up with dogs of all shapes, sizes, and personalities, including one very special dog who lived until the age of 18. That taught me how to care for both energetic young dogs and older dogs who need a little extra patience and attention. Now I share my home with Diego, my affectionate Whippet × Italian Greyhound, who absolutely loves having doggy friends to play with. He’s sociable, gentle, and always excited to welcome a visitor. I’ve also looked after dogs through BorrowMyDoggy and TrustedHousesitters, building great relationships with both pets and their owners. Looking after dogs never feels like work to me - it’s something I genuinely enjoy, and I’ll care for your dog with the same love, attention, and kindness that I’d want someone to give Diego

Schedule
Working from home means I can give dogs plenty of attention throughout the day. Our mornings begin with a walk to Hilly Fields, where Diego loves meeting other playful dogs and running off some energy. After a good play, we head home for breakfast. Diego then settles in for a nap while I start work. Throughout the day, we take regular trips out to the garden, with some playtime around lunchtime to break up the day. Diego is calm and relaxed at home, happy to snooze while I work, but always ready for some cuddles or a quick game. Evenings are for another long walk - usually back to Hilly Fields or sometimes Ladywell - before coming home for dinner and winding down with snuggles on the sofa. Diego is crate trained and sleeps comfortably in his own bed at night. He’s also used to having other dogs stay over, thanks to frequent visits from my mum’s dogs, so he’s perfectly happy sharing his space both day and night

Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
I live in a flat with a large, fully fenced shared garden that’s safe and secure for dogs to enjoy. There are no other dogs in the building, so it will only ever be Diego and any dog I’m looking after spending time together in the garden. I’m very flexible in how I care for visiting dogs and will always adapt to their individual needs. Whether that means adjusting the length and pace of walks, following specific feeding routines, administering medication, or accommodating any other requirements, I’ll make sure your dog feels comfortable and cared for. My priority is simple: to make every dog in my home as happy, safe, and relaxed as possible

A typical day
I love making sure my dog, and any dog staying with us, has plenty to do throughout the day. We usually go on two or three walks, either across the hilly fields or around the cemetery. We also like practising a few simple tricks in the park, and I’ve even taught visiting dogs some of Diego’s favourite tricks. At home, the dogs enjoy spending time in the garden. It’s large with lots of little areas to explore, and Diego loves playing with other dogs or chasing a ball outside. Inside the house, there are plenty of toys to keep them entertained, as well as lots of cosy places to relax and sleep. Every dog I’ve looked after has settled in well and had a great time.
