Hi! My name is Erika and I have been dogsitting for over 15 years. I dog sit because I love getting to spend time with lots of different dogs and learning each of their personalities. I have owned dogs my whole life, and have lots of experience with both big and small breeds. I specialize in high energy, reactive, and fearful dogs, and only watching one dog/family of dogs at a time allows me to give them the undivided attention they deserve! I am willing to work with young puppies and dogs with special needs, including giving medication or specialized diets (I have learned all of the tricks for getting stubborn dogs to take their pills.) I genuinely love to get to know each dog and specialize the activities to best fit their needs whether its long walks, games of fetch, or decompressing on the couch.

Erika was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, and she took excellent care of our 9-week-old puppy. She sent us daily updates and photos, which gave us so much peace of mind. She also asked thoughtful and appropriate questions about our puppy’s vaccination schedule and socialization to ensure our puppy stayed safe. We felt completely comfortable knowing our puppy was in such caring and capable hands and would highly recommend Erika!

Schedule
I work full time as an engineer in the city, but am only in the office 1-2 days a week with a flexible schedule. I typically do 2 longer walks in the morning and evening and a short walk for lunch when I work from home. My husband is also around to help with walks, playtime, and cuddles (his favorite.) I am more than happy to do extended stays, weekends, early mornings, and later evenings.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a row house that allows for ample play area, and a green neighborhood perfect for long walks with shade during the hot summer days. There is a park at the end of the street where we can play and socialize with the neighbors when possible.
A typical day
We would go for runs and walks near the house and nearby parks. I play fetch as well as tug of war and can give belly rubs and scratches for hours.

- I love all breeds, but have lots of experience with bigger breeds such as lab, boxer, and pitbulls. I like to know their level of energy, any dietary restrictions, and special needs that the dog may have.
