Availability
I WFH on Fridays so I'm mostly available Friday -Sunday. I have a kennel at home that can fit up to a large dog, depends on how tall but my fosters have fit in there as needed. When I do have foster dogs, I mostly let them free roam. Feedings are twice a day. Depending on the needs, I sometimes make eggs, or rice, or heat up soup for them. I know dogs may not eat normally when they are in a new environment.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fenced back yard and gated front yard. I currently have no other foster dogs but it can change if the shelter needs assistance. I have dog beds up stairs and down stairs. I normally feed in the kennel. Some dogs enjoy the cold weather, I have a balcony with a cot that other foster dogs liked to rest in, depends on clients preference if they are allowed out there. Bells on the door so dogs can let me know if they want to go outside. Due to recent stray dogs down the street, I don't feel comfortable walking dogs so I am not a good fit for high energy dog that require walks. If your pup is ok with catching a ball in the yard, that works.

Information Erika A. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your pup requires special care or limitations that I need to be aware of, whether it's food or environmental/social. I'm used to having large dogs around (over 50 lbs) so I'm used to their energy. Do they have a rigid routine I may need to keep in mind? Where do they like to sleep? Please feel free to let me know if any quirks your fur baby may have. Also, let me know if you'd like a certain type of regular updates, do you want to know every time they potty, or if they do/don't eat, just random pics thought the day? Otherwise I normally do 2 or 3 times a day.
A typical day
I enjoy having my dogs play in the yard, running up and down the yard, throwing a ball or if they simply like sniffing a new place. I have puzzles to stimulates them, helps if they are food motivated.

Pet care experience
I'm located in 77028. I foster dogs for a shelter regularly, I'm glad to see them eventually get adopted! Family had 2 dogs, 12 year old German Shepherd & Nena, and we just lost our 12 year old pitbull, Paddy from ESLD, Feb 2025. Nena has had a couple surgeries so I'm aware of the sensitivities that come with a dog that requires care. I've been fostering dogs for the past 3 years from a local shelter. I get to know them and introduce them to their forever homes. I've groomed them, baths and nail trims to give their new parents a heads up of their personality. Grandfather had a ranch so I love all ranch animals he had, chickens, goats, sheep, cows, horses and the barn cats, and ranch dogs.
Reviews

Great sitter! My anxious dog felt comfortable in her home. Very communicative too!

Lola and Shep were very loved and had a great time when they were there!

My pups loved their time with Erika. They were absolutely exhausted and happy afterwards. She sent frequent updates and they were well taken care of.

Erika was a fantastic pet sitter! She kept me updated multiple times a day on how Beau was doing. I was at peace the entire time Beau was with her. You can tell she loves animals and is very attentive to their needs. I will 100% have Erika watch Beau again in the future.
