Availability
During a normal work week I’ll be gone from roughly 9am-5pm, but I’m off every other Monday, weekends, and holidays. I come home during my lunch break if necessary. If there is a dog in the house I’m up and ready when they are even if it is earlier than I am used to. If it’s a super energetic dog I’m willing to get them out on a walk before I go to work. I’m home during the evenings everyday with exception to Wednesdays when I play pool. I’m able to let the dog out, feed them and walk them after work and before I leave on those days.

If you don’t crate your dog when you leave your home, I’ll trust them the same at my house. Dogs are able to free roam in the house and are welcome on the couches/beds. There is no dog door here and when I let them out I’m always with them. I do have a crate here if one is needed along with a couple sets of dog bowls, a medium dog bed and some toys. During your dogs visit I am happy to walk them everyday if you would like. I've only met a few dogs in my life that I didn't get along with. I'm comfortable around any breed or size of dog, but some small ones can be a little skittish since I'm a pretty big guy.

Information Erik D. would like to know about your pet
It's nice to know a detailed breakdown of medical issues (if any)/where their vet is located, feeding schedule/preferences, if they need to be crated if left alone, if the dog is a flight risk, any areas to avoid petting/brushing, gets along with other dogs, etc.
A typical day
I have a massive backyard at the house that gives dogs plenty of room to run and play. First thing in the morning is we go out back and let them run around and potty for 10-15 minutes. I’ll then feed them and get ready for work and let them out about a half hour later or so before leaving. I’m able to come home from work for lunch around 11-12 if they need to be let out. I get home around 4pm and get them out for a 1-2 mile walk around the neighborhood.

Just your dog w/ big fenced yard!
Pet care experience
Growing up my big family always had two or more dogs at a time & since leaving home I haven't had the opportunity to become a dog dad myself. Before signing up with Rover (and still), I've always bothered the neighbors to let me take their dogs out on walks/runs with me and was the first to volunteer to dog sit for any friends or family in the area. Unfortunately, many of these dogs have moved away. I'm here to fill this furry void with your dog if you let me look after them! I live in a three-bedroom house in Valparaiso on a quarter of an acre with a large fenced in back yard. I have a couple roommates that are fellow dog lovers and will happily let the dog out, feed them, etc. if I’m out of the house for an extended period of time. I work on Eglin as a civilian. I try and only board one dog ant a time, unless it is a second dog from your household.
Reviews

Erik took such good care of Cookie and sent us updates with photos every day! She seemed super happy staying with him and we felt confident that she was well cared for!

Absolutely amazing as always! My dogs always have the best time. They get so much love and Erik is always so happy to see them!

Koda always comes back from Erik happy and healthy! 5-star sitter every time!

Erik took great care of my dog while I was out of town. He provided daily updates/photos and made sure that my dog's first stay away from home was a good experience for her.
