A staycation for your dog!
Hi there! I've been doing canine caretaking on the Rover platform since 2023. My property is a located on the same street as the McClelland Dog Park, a 5-minute walk. As veteran dog owners, we make regular use of it! Prior to doing Rover, I frequently helped friends and family with their dogs for many years. Nearly everyone I know has pets and I've hosted dozens in my home. My clients love the close proximity to a public park with trails. Currently I have 2 dogs - Ellie and Bishop. My yard is fully fenced and your dog will enjoy plenty of outside play time with Ellie and Bishop, as well as trail walks and trips to the dog park. I also live a 5-minute drive from the nearest veterinary clinic, and I have room for crates. I also offer professional photography services for your pet for an extra fee. Ask about it during your dog's stay if interested!

Erik was proactive about meeting up with our mutual dogs to make sure they would get along. He was great at communicating before and during keeping my girls. He also sent pictures to reassure me that they were doing well. I would use Erik again.
So happy with Erik's service! Our 11mo old boy Silas stayed with Erik and his dog Ellie for nearly 7 hours. Erick sent pictures and videos and communicated well. We were nervous leaving our pup somewhere new for the very first time but we knew upon arrival that he would be in good hands and have another sweet dog to play with. 100% would reccomend and would return again if we are ever in the area.
Erik made sure my dog Storm was very happy during his stay. I'm very appreciative of Eric's service, and I would recommend him to anyone.
Cooper had a great "staycation" with Erik and Ellie. Erik sent us pictures and video of Cooper several times (at the Dog Park, at home relaxing and again playing in the backyard). We always know Erik will take great care of him and that makes our anxiety disappear when we have to go out of town:) Would recommend Erik to all my friends and their fur babies!!
Erik has watched my dog many times and peanut really loves him. He's been very good with peanut. Our dogs really enjoy spending time together.

Schedule
I work a regular day job, but it's very close to home so I come home daily for lunch to and for the dogs and run them in the yard. Off on weekends with fairly open schedule.

Safety, trust & environment
Ellie and Bishop are exercised daily and worked with often, and are very well behaved with both dogs and people. The backyard is directly connected to a public park with trails. Yard gates are secured with locks and monitored with cameras.
Pets
A typical day
A good bit of pro-activity goes a long way so everyone stays safe. Most well socialized dogs get along, but not always. There's times when separation is needed such as downtime and feeding times. I have arranged my home in a way that permits safe separation if needed. Your dog will be cared for same as my own, and instructions for them followed strictly. In general, daily activity will involve park trips and/or running the backyard. Dogs are permitted freedom of movement around the house and backyard, except for the kitchen and eating areas which are restricted. The yard is secured with locks on the gates. Quiet evenings and couch snuggles are pretty typical.
