I am currently in between jobs so my schedule is virtually wide open for the time being. As my sole source of income, I will be taking on multiple bookings at once, so there will be times I need to leave for house-calls, but nothing for extended periods of time.

Before agreeing to a booking, I ideally would like to set-up a preliminary meeting where I can meet your critter and gauge our chemistry. While I am a veteran sitter, sometimes the chemistry isn’t there and I or your pet would be best served with a different sitter. If we are a good fit, I have the owners fill out a questionnaire outlining care needs and expectations. As part of my services, I keep an open line of communication and can be reached 24/7. You will receive at least one correspondence from me a day including photos and a daily report card for your critter. As for house-sitting visits, I provide my own food and toiletries with the exception of paper products. I don’t require much and am very low maintenance. Overall, I aim to leave your living space exactly how you left it. While I am by no means a “neat-freak”, I expect your living space to be habitable especially for house-sitting overnight. I just ask that full trash be changed out, sink clear of dishes, and any perishable food taken care of in correlation to the length of your absence. Thank You!

Information Erick B. would like to know about your pet
✍️ A full Client Intake process is mandatory before I will confirm a booking that is longer than 18-24 hours. I need to understand your pet’s needs to make sure that they are comfortable in your extended absence. I will start with the info on your pet's Rover profile, then give you all the information you need to complete intake when you request a booking with me.* ☑️ I require a date of most recent vet visit for all bookings. Dogs must be on flea and heart worm preventative medications. Additionally, I require proof of current vaccination records. A picture of your pet's rabies tag, city registration, or dog park tag will do. ‼️ We will create an Emergency Care plan and hopefully never use it! I will need to know emergency contact information in the event I am unable to reach you. Preferably this person lives within a 30-mile radius and can physically show up if needed. Additionally, this person should be able to provide payment for emergency veterinary services if I am unable to reach you. If your pet has severe behavioral or medical issues, the 30-mile radius rule is mandatory before booking. ❌ If your dog has a bite history with any other animals or humans, I cannot provide any services for your dog. Dog attacks will be reported to animal control, and police if medical attention is required for the victim(s). Services will be terminated immediately. I recommend using a Fear Free Veterinary Boarding service if your pet has such severe behavioral issues that this would be a concern. If you need more information on how to find a Free Free Veterinary Boarding service so that your pet is safe while you are gone, please contact me! ✅ Listed rates are base rate estimates. Intake will determine your actual rate and is based on time and effort required to attend to your pet’s needs. For example, a pet with severe separation anxiety will result in a higher rate because I cannot leave your pet alone which means I incur additional expenses by ordering everything for delivery. Additionally, if your pet requires highly individualized, time-intensive care, that results in a higher rate due to the opportunity cost of me not being able to book with other clients. Providing misinformation to secure a cheaper rate puts your pet and me at risk, so there will be repercussions for purposely giving inaccurate care information during intake, up to and including the possibility of terminating services during the stay.** *I am more flexible with indoor cats and other pets on date of last vet visit, vaccinations, and emergency care plan. We will discuss those requirements during intake. **I am also flexible with cat care rates and other pet’s depending on your needs.
A typical day
Outside of of the routine laid out in your care notes, I look to maximize the services I offer by stimulation and enrichments. I like to use food puzzles, positive conditioning training, DogTV, search games etc.

Pet care experience
Greetings future friend and paw pal! 🐾 My name is Erick and I am a seasoned pet-owner and animal care specialist with 15 years of experience. While pets weren’t allowed in my childhood home, I discovered a natural connection with animals. From house-sitter for friends to building a winter shelter for strays, I found that I was able to read and understand critters of all sorts while exuding a calm, nonthreatening demeanor. I took my natural skill further by studying not only best pet-care practices but also animal psychology and body language. I continue to stay up to date on the latest methodologies and research. I provide and utilize a series of tools not only for stimulation and enrichment, but to also correct undesirable behavior such as: 🍖Overeating and/or eating too quickly 🏄 Counter surfing 😿Separation anxiety ⛈️ Severe weather anxiety 💪Leash pulling I am also versed in training methods based on the Fear-Free pedagogy. I can enforce and work on your current training regimen and offer solicited insight on approaches I would recommend to ameliorate issues.

Erick b is the best

Erick is amazing with our pets!

Erik always does a great job. My little guy is older and Erik always takes extra special care with him to ensure he’s comfortable and still part of the activities.

Leia had a great time with Erick. He took great care of Leia while I was out of town. I am looking forward to booking with him again!
