Pet care experience

Animal lover with over 20 years of experience

Hi there! My name is Erica, I’ve taken care of a wide variety of dogs over the last 20+ years from dachshunds to old English sheep dogs. Most recently we had an energetic labradoodle, Teddy, who reached the grand old age of 14. We are currently dog-less so being able to provide care to other people’s dogs is something that brings me a lot of joy!

Safety, trust & environment

All drop in visits and pick ups can include the following (as needed/requested) - refreshing water bowls (especially important in the summer) - feeding if requested - a tidy up if needed, particularly for younger barking buddies, or a check of a litter tray for our feline friends. - if requested setting up some enrichment for after the session. This would be guided by the humans of the household but may include things like laying out some fresh toys, hiding treats, putting the radio on. - ensuring we have clean paws at the end of walks. A wipe down will be offered/attempted at the end of a walk, especially on rainy/muddy days. - some form of quality time depending on the needs and character of each animal - photos/videos of our time together - any other home security/safety tasks that are needed. This is particularly relevant if humans are away for longer than normal and may include things like picking up post, bringing in parcels, turning lights on/off, running taps, opening/closing curtains and so on. Again this would be guided by the humans of the household.

Such a lovely lady. Looked after our puppy so well and has been extremely understanding and flexible. Definitely would recommend

Erica has been absolutely fantastic with our ragdoll cat! From the moment we met it was clear how caring, reliable and attentive she is. Our cat can be quite particular, but Erica took the time to understand her routines and temperament and she settled with her right away. We received regular updates and photos while we were away which was very reassuring. It’s clear Erica genuinely loves animals and treats them as if they were her own. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.

I’ve known Erica for four years, and my dog Tessa basically loves her more than me. Erica knows all of Tessa’s weird quirks, takes her on the best walks, and she always comes back nice and calm. She’s great with kids, dogs, and plants too. 10/10 would trust her with anything that breathes.

Erica was such a great fit for our dog Moose, excellent communication throughout and we felt at ease knowing that our dog was being cared for so well. Would definitely recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Schedule

Currently I can be really flexible to meet the needs of each pet. In particular the nearer someone is to Cheddar the more flexible I can be, particularly for any last minute needs. If I have a booking then I build/plan the rest of my day around that to ensure the best possible care is given to each pawed pal I am helping out with.
