Pet sitting is currently my full time job. I always try to make sure I schedule for every pet's needs, even during busy seasons when my schedule is full. Please note, my policy is to reply to all messages within 24 hours - my primary attention is always with the families whose animals are currently in my care.

Safety, trust & environment
I try to make sure everyone gets to maintain their familiar schedule and activities as much as possible. I'm willing to be in the home when the owners leave and stay until they come back to make the transition as smooth as possible. Dogs will not be left alone more than two to four hours unless absolutely necessary. There will be no guests. I don't smoke or drink so there won't be an intoxicated sitter at any point.
Information Erica S. would like to know about your pet
What does your normal routine look like? Are there any medical issues to be aware of? Are they dog or stranger reactive when outdoors? Where do we normally walk? What are their favourite toys/games? My goal is to make sure everyone sticks to their regular routine and activities as much as possible. Change can be stressful for animals! I have no breed preferences. Big dogs, small dogs, short dogs, tall dogs - lazy dogs, active dogs - dogs that turn out to be bears - all of them!
A typical day
Where does your dog like to go? What do they like to do? I'm happy when your dogs are happy, so wheher they like walking in the woods, or a romp to Safeway and back, or to chase a tennis ball all day - let's go!

Pet care experience
I had my own dog-sitting business between '08 to '11 before I moved. If you can keep it for a pet, I've probably taken care of it. Dogs and cats of every size and shape, small mammals, reptiles, fish, farm animals. I taught horseback riding lessons for some years. I wanted to BE a dog when I grew up and I'm still very slightly disappointed that it didn't work out that way. I have lots of experience with special needs animals, elderly animals, and can give medications (orally or injections) as needed. My availability is very flexible and I can be available on short notice in emergency situations if it's necessary.
Reviews

Erica is our favorite!

Great care! Pup was happy, exercised, and house left neat and tidy. Will book again!

I can’t stop singing (well writing) praises about Erica. She takes such good care of our fur baby!

Erica is fantastic! She is very professional. Showed up at the time we needed her, was kind to our dogs, was very communicative with us throughout the time she was dog sitting/house sitting for us. We really appreciated getting pictures and updates, as we don't leave our dogs often and miss them when we are away! She left the house in perfect condition and the dogs were clearly well cared for. Happy to have found Erica and would definitely book her again!
