Erica is an amazing human being. We met when she was only 15 years old and instantly connected. Even though I’m 20 years older than her, we have become the best of friends. She somehow always knows if a friends needs to vent and be heard or if they need to brainstorm solutions. Erica is also a pet lover. She has grown up surrounded by cats and dogs. When she got her own place, she adopted a cat, Kitty. Kitty is her fur baby and he is her priority. She understood when she adopted him that she had to take care of his needs. Food, treats and water are just the basics! Her place has become Kitty paradise. From cat trees to scratching posts, every structure is placed strategically. Kitty can look outside, climb and chill in many different spots. However, his favorite spot is cuddling with Erica. They share a special bond. Last year Kitty had teeth issues. Erica noticed his breath was getting smelly. She immediately took him to the vet where he had to have 10-12 teeth removed as they were dead or infected. Erica didn’t hesitate and paid for the care Kitty needed. A few years ago, we went away for a week. We have 2 cats and Erica offered to take care of them while we were away. She visited twice daily to refill water and feed the boys. She also made sure to stay for at least an hour each day to play with them and give them cuddles and attention. She’s now given herself godmother status! Erica is reliable, always on time and very mature. Anyone would be lucky to have her take care of their pets. Erica is professional, punctual and honest. As a social worker, she just keeps developing those skills and her sense of ethics is simply amazing!
