Retired Special Agent & Dog Person!
Note: As of February 2026, I am no longer accepting new clients so I can prioritize my current clients for the busy summer season. This change allows for more consistent availability and easier scheduling for those I already work with. You can view my availability under the “Services/Calendar” tab—just scroll to the bottom. Please feel free to message me here with any questions about the calendar. Thank you so much to all my clients and pups! SUMMARY: 1) Retired Law Enforcement 2) Accepts one dog family client at a time [2 dogs from same family is ✅] 3) No pets, children or other adults in household 4)Privately insured & Pet CPR/First Aid Trained 5) Committed to Paws for a Cause in Honor of my late dog Dottie MY PURPOSE & BIO: Hello, there. Thank you for taking the time to review my dog care experience and my purpose in pursuing my true passion - dogs. In June 2024, my soul dog Dottie was diagnosed with lymphoma. I made the decision to retire (currently 52 years of age) from my career as a federal law enforcement special agent to be by her side. After a brave and selfless fight, Dottie passed on February 21, 2025. I embarked on Rover with my first client in April 2025; and dedicate this new chapter of my life to caring for dogs by honoring Dottie’s legacy of love, selflessness, and tail-wagging joy! PAWS 4 A CAUSE: 💜~In Dottie’s memory, each year I commit to the donation of $1,089 of my pet care revenue to a canine cancer nonprofit. The Wally Fund of TUFTS Vet Oncology will receive the 2026 donation - to support pet cancer treatment expenses for pawrents in need. The Live Like Roo Foundation received the 2025 donation of $1,089 - Dottie’s estimated age (10) at her transition + her Gotcha Day (August 9th). Thank you to all my amazing clients. 💜 I am Pet CPR/First Aid and pet poison prevention trained. I rescued three dogs in my adult life that had special needs pertaining to their health (heart murmur, mammary cancer, lymphoma, recurring UTI’s) and/or behavior issues. I have extensive experience in administering oral medications and senior dog care; all of which is done with a loving soft approach and a conscientious mindset to identify any issues. In addition, I am able to care for and handle “strong” and/or reactive dogs on leash.

Ratings and reviews
We were so happy to connect with Erica. We scheduled a meet & greet which went well. We discussed our dog’s psychological as well as his physical needs. She immediately made us feel comfortable with boarding Jazz. She has a way with dogs and understood his anxiety being in an unfamiliar environment. She dealt with the situation with the utmost professionalism and an enormous amount of compassion. Our confidence in her allowed us to have peace of mind that our dog would be treated well which enhanced our ability to enjoy our vacation. When certain issues did arise, she handled them with an understanding of the dog’s needs as well as our concerns. She traveled quite a distance to bring him to our veterinarian to be assessed for his anxiety and to pick up medication that was prescribed for him. She made special meals for him on many days when needed. Erica slept on her couch some nights while Jazz slept on the floor for his comfort. He enjoyed his many walks in the neighborhoods. Every day she texted photographs and messages as well as videos of him enjoying the time spent with her. She wrote a beautiful letter to us as well as gave us photographs of him on his walks. Erica is a gem, and we are so grateful to have found her!

Erica is amazing with Ellis.

We left Tilden with Erica for two weeks and she took amazing care of him. He is high energy and can be an anxious but Tilden was happy and relaxed the whole time. We had great piece of mind for the whole trip

Erica is the absolute best. Truly goes above and beyond. My little guy got some belly issues on his first day (I’m pretty sure he ate something on the street during my morning walk with him). Erica knew exactly what to do to take care of him. She made him special food and even slept next to his kennel overnight to make sure he was okay… who would ever do that for your dog?!? Only someone who really cares. I’m eternally grateful for her. Thank you Erica - for being so kind, reliable, and trustworthy. And for loving Skippy like your own!

Erica is an absolutely gem of a sitter! She puts so much thought and consideration into her care of our Tupelo and it really shows. Erica is one of our pup’s best buddies and they are always so excited to see each other, putting us at ease for every trip. Aside from wanting to keep her all to ourselves, we cannot recommend Erica enough!

Tilden loved his stay! We definitely felt like he was in great hands !

Schedule
I am retired and available to meet all your pups’ needs. My home is pet free and I am accepting one dog family at a time. My home is not shared as I live by myself. Please know that I will provide your pup with a loving, calm and safe environment during their stay. Depending on the ability of your dog, I would love to walk him/her along the waterfront in South Boston which is less than one mile from my condominium.
Where your pet will stay
Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
For in my home care, your pup will have full access to my home and furniture (+bed) (located on the No. Dorchester/So. Boston line). Dogs seem to love to lay in front of the clear glass back door (facing out to the back deck South) to enjoy the sun or peek of the neighborhood. I do live on the 3rd floor and your pup will need to make the short walk up or I am happy to carry (I’ve done that this with two senior 20 lb clients)! The “Polish Triangle” is a residential dog friendly neighborhood that abuts Andrew Square, South Boston. I reside in a 3-family condominium building and my neighbors do not have dogs nor children. There is a patch of grass in the back that runs along the condo building side to the front landscaping. I’ve found this useful with senior pups and/or pups that don’t like the rain.
A typical day
For in my home care, my residence is dog proofed and filled with a plethora of dog toys, dog beds and sunshine! I do not live far from the waterfront and would love to enjoy with your pup. Following the walk, we can rest on the sofa where your pup will enjoy head and belly rubs. I have a small SUV equipped with a dog back seat extender with the appropriate restraints to ensure a safe transport.
