Pet care is a natural and joyful part of my daily life. My own dogs are on a consistent routine that includes daily walks, playtime in our large fenced backyard, and plenty of snuggles throughout the day. I’m used to adjusting our schedule to meet the needs of the pets in my care—whether it’s administering medications, sticking to a feeding schedule, or making sure high-energy pups get lots of exercise. Starting in June, pet care will be my full-time focus, and I’m excited to welcome dogs into our home as part of our daily routine!

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets in my home, they become part of our family. Dogs have full access to the home and our large fenced backyard for play, potty breaks, and relaxation throughout the day. I follow their normal routines as closely as possible—whether that’s meal times, walk schedules, or bedtime habits. We go on daily walks and have lots of playtime and affection to keep them happy, calm, and engaged. If I’m visiting a client’s home, I treat it with the same respect and care I’d expect for my own. I ensure pets are safe, well-fed, exercised, and comforted during each visit. I’m happy to water plants, bring in mail, or send regular updates with photos and videos so you can have peace of mind while you’re away.

Information Erica H. would like to know about your pet
To provide the best care possible, I like to learn as much as I can about your dog ahead of time. Here are a few important questions I’ll ask before your pet stays with me or I visit your home: Does your dog have any allergies, dietary restrictions, or medical conditions I should know about? What is your dog’s feeding schedule, and how much do they typically eat? Are treats allowed, and do you have any preferred types or ingredients to avoid? How does your dog typically behave around other dogs and animals? Is your dog comfortable around new people? Do they have any behavioral quirks—such as chewing furniture, digging, barking, or separation anxiety—that I should be aware of? Has your dog ever shown signs of aggression or reactivity in certain situations (leash walking, food, toys, etc.)? If you are booking for boarding or daycare, I kindly ask that you provide current vaccination records prior to your pet’s stay. This helps keep my own dogs and all visiting pets safe and healthy. Your pet’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities, and this information ensures I can provide the most personalized, stress-free care possible.
A typical day
A typical day in my care is tailored to fit each dog’s personality and needs. We start the morning with a walk and breakfast, then ease into a mix of playtime, rest, and enrichment activities throughout the day. For high-energy dogs and puppies, we enjoy longer walks, backyard play, and fun training games to keep their minds and bodies active. For seniors or more laid-back pups, we keep things relaxed with shorter walks, cuddle time, and a calm environment where they can feel safe and comfortable. No matter the age or breed, all pets get plenty of affection, positive attention, and a routine that helps them feel secure and at ease. Whether it's a game of fetch in the yard, puzzle toys inside, or a cozy nap on the couch, I make sure every dog feels loved, understood, and right at home.

Pet care experience
Hi, I’m Erica! As a military spouse and lifelong animal lover, I know how important it is to find safe, reliable, and loving care when you're away. I provide exclusive, one-family-at-a-time boarding, so your dog(s) will receive my full attention in a calm, personalized environment. Dogs in my care enjoy supervised, free roam of our home and daily play in our large, fully fenced yard, along with plenty of affection and enrichment. I have two friendly resident dogs: Leela, a sweet 6-year-old Lab mix, and a playful 8-month-old Lab puppy. Together, we go on daily walks and enjoy lots of backyard fun. I’ve cared for a wide range of breeds and completed multiple training courses, so I’m confident handling dogs with different temperaments and energy levels. Starting June 1, I’ll be offering boarding, daycare, drop-ins, and walks full-time from my home in Dalzell, SC. In May, I’m available evenings and weekends. I also have base access for drop-ins, pick-ups, and walks—just 10 minutes from the back gate. I’d love to meet you and your pup!
Reviews

She was so great with my shy Ellie! 1000% coming back, thank you so much!

The best in the business!

Erica was an absolute blessing to our family. We've been hesitant about boarding options for our Goldendoodle - as she's truly part of our family, and we could not have asked for a better first experience with Rover. Erica took amazing care of Ellie, sent us daily reports and photos, and communicated perfectly.

Erica is absolutely the best!! She took great care of my dogs and was able to be flexible and help when my plans changed last minute. Will absolutely book with her again in the future
