I grew up on a farm in Virginia surrounded by cows, horses, wild animals, and beloved pets — including the long-haired mini black and tan dachshunds we bred, trained, and raised. Starting at age 9, I helped birth litters of both puppies and kittens, and went on to train two mini dachshunds of my own using intermittent reinforcement (no small feat with such a stubborn-but-brilliant breed!). I cared for them throughout their entire lives. Beyond my own animals, I have years of experience caring for and training friends’ dogs and cats. While this is my first time on Rover, my hands-on experience with animals goes back decades. I’m available for boarding, dog walking, and drop-in visits. I live in a townhouse in NE DC with a private backyard where pups can play and a great neighborhood for walks. I’d love to help care for your furry family member — don’t hesitate to reach out!
