Experienced Park Slope Cat Sitter
My name is Eric. I grew up with cats in my family's home and enjoyed being the one primarily responsibility for taking care of them. As an adult, I've become a trusted cat sitter for friends and family due to my reliability, gentleness, and playful nature. Frequently, cats who hide from strangers warm up to me quickly. I know the ins and outs of cat care so you do not have to worry about your time away from your pet.
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
I will follow all directions you provide to the letter for caring for your pet and to ensure your home is safe. I make sure to spend extra time playing with the cat so that they get exercise and socialization.
Ratings and reviews
Eric is great! Took such good care of the cats while we were away. Would definitely book again :)

Eric did a fantastic job looking after our cats!

Eric took great care of Shemya and Sami. He sent me regular updates and pictures, and they were calm and happy when I got home. I will definitely ask him to take care of my cats the next time I am away.

I used to own a cat sitting company that specialized in kitties with medical needs and I know how important it is to have trustworthy care when you have to leave your furry loved ones. Eric was so great at taking care of my cat Mario, who had heart disease and needed special attention while I was away. Mario loved Eric and I was always super pleased with the level of caretaking he provided in my absence. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable sitter!
Eric Shaw is responsible, reliable, and mature and level-headed, as well as a good communicator. I know that he loves cats--he's been a cat owner and has also taken care of others' cats (which includes not just feeding them and dealing with litter but also playing with them). As a bonus, he keeps things organized and clean.
Eric is a long time friend and a frequent caregiver for our two cats when we're out of town. Not only is he reliable and responsible as can be, he has a caring persona that comes from many years of living with animals. One of our two cats is exceptionally skittish around new people and hides whenever someone enters the house...except for Eric. She recognizes him right away and greets him, which is a testiment to the trust and bond he has built with her. You couldn't find a better person to trust your pets with!

Schedule
I am a fully remote young professional who, as a result, has a flexible working schedule. I can easily visit homes for daily feeding and playtime in the mornings and late afternoons/early evenings.
- CatsEric can host up to 2 drop-ins per day
- Are your cats friendly or more skittish? Are they escape artists? Is there anything noteworthy about their eating habits? What about them makes them unique?
