Former veterinary asst loves pets!
As a former veterinary assistant, I have acquired and practiced a number of skills above and beyond those of a typical pet sitter. I'm adept at administering medications of all kinds (including subcutaneous fluids), nail trimming and other basic grooming... I even assisted in surgeries! Animals are drawn to me and me to them. I've had a special chemistry with pets since I was a child. My own internal reliance on routines means that your pet can rely on regular, predictable and consistent care.

We have two cats who I dote on (my wife might say "spoil"). They wake me up like clockwork every morning for their breakfast and play. We let the senior outside for supervised, fenced play (aka time away from his big little brother), but the 2-year-old is strictly indoors. I've developed daily routines and timelines with each of my pets and they reward my consistency with plenty of cuddles and purring. We recently got a wheel for our younger cat, and he likes to run while I'm on zoom calls.

Eric is a wonderful dog walker. He is dependable, has flexible availability, is warm with animals, and even managed to win over our feisty chihuahua who doesn’t like strangers. We will definitely be asking Eric to dog sit for us in the future!
Eric is a true friend of animals. He is one of those animal whisperer people, someone who cares deeply and is closely attuned to how animals communicate and what they need. He's taken care of and completely won over our sweet cat who is quite skittish. She loves her grooming sessions with Eric! Another thing we've been so thankful for with Eric is his commitment to routines and schedules. He's reliable and has been great at keeping routines that make our kitty happy.
Eric has a deep love for animals that is immediately evident when you see him interacting with any animal. His background as a vet tech was so helpful for me in caring for my dear cat Clancy. As any cat parent knows, giving medicine to cats is not easy, but Eric was always able to administer her various meds with a minimum of drama for me and upset for Clancy. In addition to his empathy, Eric is responsible and dependable and would be a wonderful caretaker for any pet.

Schedule
Pet care is an integral part of my daily routine – as a fellow pet owner, you know the drill. It's an all-day, every-day procedure starting from the first morning pawing at my nose and going until, well, the last evening pawing at my nose. As far as caring for other pets, my schedule is flexible and I make every effort to keep a regular routine that help your pet feel safe and cared for.
