I don’t work outside the house. I am a homemaker and an amateur musician. I rarely leave the house for more than a couple of hours. My house is my sanctuary. Safety, tranquility and a loving 2nd home are what I offer my clients. The weight limit is 40lbs, but I am not able to control dogs over 30 who have really strong working or prey drives. Wanting to chase a squirrel is fine, lunging at others is not. No aggressive or reactive dogs please.

Information Eric & Kim S. would like to know about your pet
Let me know what your dog’s routine is like. Also, what does your dog do for fun. Is it long walks, or chasing a ball or just keeping an eye on the front yard from the sofa? Also, does your pup have any special dietary requirements? Lastly, is it ok to give your dog a bath if needed? We’ve had a couple of funky dogs in the past and a nice bath really helps with that.
A typical day
We will take walks along Ralston Creek in the morning and evenings, and play fetch or just lounge around our fenced back yard. Relaxing before bedtime with belly rubs while watching television are also part of the routine. Not a kennel!

Pet care experience
Our clients are mostly older, lazy dogs. Kim works from home often. Not all dogs are a good fit. Examples: - High energy/working dogs - Dogs who don’t socialize well with other dogs - Dogs over 25 pounds - Dogs who are excessively vocal due to anxiety - Dogs that can’t be left alone for 2 hours We can’t always screen for these behaviors, but we will address them as needed. Dogs are very emotional animals. Their mental well-being is just as important as exercise and good nutrition. I do my best to establish a bond with each client (dog). Putting an emphasis on emotional health makes watching dogs a very rewarding experience. Every dog is unique and has a different personality. What works to gain a dog’s trust changes from dog to dog. Rover much more than just a side hustle. Rover gives me the opportunity to provide a home away from home for fur babies while their owners are traveling. Guests that stay with us benefit from a quiet and safe environment, lots of love and attention. Lily Belle, my 10 year old Maltese-Poodle mix, helps welcome guests into our home. She makes friends quickly and will help your dog adjust to its home away from home. I'm a disabled grandpa that used to be an avid skier. I am home most of the time due to spinal injury from a ski accident. I've found that being around dogs is therapeutic and that caring for them is a joy, and not a chore. As a rover client, I know how important photo and video updates are and I'll send them to you throughout your pet’s stay. I have a fenced yard with plenty of grass to play on. When we are not playing outside, we can be found relaxing on the couch in the living room. No large dogs to torment smaller dogs.
Reviews

Eric was awesome. He gave lots of updates with pictures and videos. I can tell my dog was enjoying himself and was well taken care of! I would recommend and will use Eric again in the future!
Thank you for taking good care of Remy!

Thank you so much for taking such great care of Zile. You really made me feel comfortable leaving him with you, and I could tell he was in good hands. I did worry a bit at the beginning, but all the pictures, videos, updates, your observations and comments about his behavior helped so much. I really appreciate it. Sorry he was barking a lot, and thank you for working with him and correcting him. It also means a lot that you said you’d be happy to take care of him again. I definitely won’t worry as much next time. 😊

Eric put a buzzer collar on our dog without our permission. He was not communicative about it, and did not report any behavior problems to us. We only found out through photos he sent, and had to ask what kind of collar he put on our dog. He was apologetic but we no longer trust him with our dog and will not be returning.
