I’m a former Saint Bernard owner, and while my beloved pup passed away two years ago, I’m not quite ready for another dog of my own just yet. However, I would love the opportunity to help care for yours. In addition to my experience as a dog owner, I’ve fostered three different dogs for a local organization and have been a reliable dog sitter for many of my friends. At age seven, my dog Dempsey was diagnosed with cancer in his back left leg. The treatment options we chose gave him an expected lifespan of just 10 to 18 months. However, with dedicated care, Dempsey defied the odds and lived nearly three years — just one month shy of that milestone. On top of his cancer diagnosis, Dempsey also began experiencing seizures a few months after surgery. Managing his care required administering medications three to four times a day, which became a crucial part of my daily routine. I share this with you to highlight the level of care and dedication I put into ensuring Dempsey’s well-being. That same level of commitment and compassion is what I bring to caring for any dog entrusted to me.
