Passionate and Caring for Dogs 🐕
I have cared for dogs various dogs including Bernese Mountain Dog and Rottweiler who required lots of care (frequent walks, high energy, and also anxious pets). My families and friends are dependent on us to take care of their dogs with walks, washing, and dressing. I am a nurse from Canada and relocated permanently to the U.S. with my husband Jon, who works from home. I’ve always wanted to provide service to others including my love for pets. I have a 7 year old Bernese Mountain dog name Bentley back in Canada. I would be happy to have an opportunity to share our current space and time for any dog who needs love and attention just as I would for Bentley.

Emy is just the absolute BEST. I’ve left my dog with her at least five times now, and for a few multi week visits. Every time, Emy sends lots of photos and updates and it is always so clear that my girl is having the time of her life and is being exceptionally well cared for. Emy and her husband are truly such a blessing—I know my dog can’t wait to go back!!

I work part time during the day in the hospital nearby as a nurse. I live in quiet apartment in Beacon Falls by Naugatuck river. My apartment has plenty of space with minimal furniture. I love to go on walks especially on trails and explore the surrounding area that are mountains, parks, trees and river.

My husband and I live in a quiet, secure apartment building (used to be a Rubber Factory). We have central AC and keep the apartment cool at all times. We have about 900 sq ft space. I do not have any children and keep the place tidy by vacuuming daily with minimal furniture. I will make sure that the dog is fed as per their home routine and provide plenty of fresh water to drink. I keep human food away from table and we never leave dogs home alone. I always keep an eye on the dog’s cues and behaviour to make sure they are comfortable and feel safe. Walking distance from our apartment is a small dog park and pickleball court where we like to play with the dogs. If agreeable with the owner, we would like to bring the dogs for a drive to Southbury Dog Park/Trail where they can play in the river, walk on long trails, and interact with other dogs. There is a local hiking spot called Toby’s Rock Mountain Loop right in Beacon Falls where we are able to bring the dog for a hike amongst the scenic mountain/trees with great views of the waterfall.
A typical day
I am very active and enjoy walking in our quaint town in Beacon Falls. I enjoy playing fetch with the dogs and hike along riverside trails across our home.
