Experienced Pet Care from the Pines
Dogs are literally my favorite thing. I am the founder of 7 Pups from the Pines, a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and advocating for dogs in need in our rural Northeast Texas community. I’m comfortable working with dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and special needs. While I’d call myself a ‘dog person’, I also enjoy the companionship of cats. I had a black cat named Dylan for nearly 20 years—quite literally my entire adult life. Beyond dogs and cats, I also have experience caring for pigs, a tortoise, and a small herd of goats, and I’m always open to learning how to care for other pets you may have. I regularly invest time in self-directed learning and have completed many hours of formal coursework in animal care and welfare through Maddie’s University. I deeply understand and believe in the importance of the human-animal bond. I view each animal as an individual and strive to provide personalized care based on your instructions and your pets unique needs. My goal is for your pet to experience as little disruption to their routine as possible, and over time, to build a bond so that they’re genuinely happy to see me when I care for them. $50/day for 2-3 visits - no matter how many dogs! $40/day for 2 visits for cats only

I can assure you that I will provide clear and consistent communication throughout the experience, including regular photo and video updates of your pet. I prioritize situational awareness to identify potential hazards and ensure that your pet is safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times. I understand that leaving your pet in the care of another person can be difficult. That’s why I’m committed to providing the same level of care, attention, and love that I would want for my own pets. With experience, patience, and a genuine love for animals, I strive to make your pet feel secure and at ease while you’re away. Emmy is a diamond in the rough! In our quest to find a trustworthy pet sitter out here in the country, we encountered two other candidates over the course of a year. Thankfully, we finally found a reliable gem in Emmy. Not only does she run a successful local rescue, she is also a dedicated animal lover who genuinely cares about the well-being of all pets. We've entrusted Emmy with our house sitting and pet care needs for the past year and five months and have been completely satisfied. Emmy has formed a special bond with our diverse menagerie that includes three dogs, a cat, seven goats and our beloved mini pig. Her attention to detail is remarkable and she meticulously follows any instructions we provide. Emmy's rates are reasonable and flexible, her knowledge of animals is extensive and she is the most dependable house sitter we have ever had. Whenever an issue arises, her resourcefulness and problem-solving skills are invaluable. Above all others, I wholeheartedly recommend Emmy. She is mature, intelligent, and a true go-getter. I always know the true animal lovers, when I see them get down on the floor as soon as they meet your dog. That’s Emmy. She has watched my pets for a little less than a year now and never missed a beat. I have a big variety of animals, including pigs, cats, dogs, and a tortoise, and Emmy cares for all of them exactly how I ask. She is very detail oriented, honest, and likes to get to know your family members, which means a lot to me. All the animals we have love her, and act like they don’t ever miss us (HAHAHA!) so leaving for vacation is a breeze. Would highly recommend.
Emmy is the best pet sitter we’ve ever had. She is dependable and trustworthy and she truly cares about our pets’ wellbeing. She goes above and beyond when she watches our dogs, leaving our house spotless and ensuring that we never walk into a muddy mess. She also sends video updates of our dogs to let us know how they are doing. Highly recommend Emmy!!!
