I have a hybrid job, but work from home 75% of the time (if not more) so I am able to be with your pet most if not all of the day during the week. I have a dog of my own named Banjo who is a 6 year old Brittany. He is high energy and requires two walks a day, which your pup is welcome to join or sit out depending on their energy levels and interest. You tell me what works best for your pup and we’ll make sure they get exactly the right mix of play, exercise, and downtime!

I don’t have a fenced-in yard but keep a run outside for my dog. We also go to the beach or dog park (Willard, Bug Light, Fort Williams) for at least 1.5 hours every day. If your dog is playful, then they get extra exercise in the house! Pets are allowed on furniture in my house.
Information Emmy H. would like to know about your pet
The biggest thing I like to know is what the dog is accustomed to in terms of a daily routine. I strive to match that routine as best as possible, as to not disrupt your schedule, or theirs. I know they are creatures of habit and like to know what's coming. I also need to know if they are okay with other dogs.
A typical day
I start each and every day with a long play session for Banjo and try to go where there are other dogs so he can socialize. This tires him out for most of the morning and early afternoon so I can get some work done. We have another, shorter play session in the early evening. I live in the Willard area so there are plenty of places to play and explore, and I am familiar with different spots throughout Greater Portland.

Pet care experience
Hi all, my name is Emmy and I was born and raised in the Greater Portland Area, and have provided care for my K-9 neighbors for over a decade! I have taken care of every breed with just about every temperament there is. I have my own fur baby, Banjo, a high energy Brittany, and we are a package deal. He is great with all animals, big, small, playful, or not. We would love to care for and play with your pets while you’re away!
Reviews

Emmy (and Banjo) took great care of Jameson. It is clear how much she cares about dogs and strives to follow their normal routine as closely as possible. Jameson was a tired boy when we got home and our house was also well cared for. She sent lots of photo updates which we love. We will certainly hire again!!

Bee had such a fun time staying with Emmy and Banjo! Emmy sent me daily picture updates, was super responsive and accommodating to changes in my schedule. Bee is a high energy dog and Emmy fulfilled her exercise needs every day, getting her outside to do all of her favorite things. Bee will be excited to visit Emmy and Banjo again the next time I need a sitter!

This was our first time having Emmy dog sit for us and she was amazing! She sent pictures everyday and provided us with updates. We will definitely leave our dog with her the next time we need a sitter. Banjo and MooMoo got along so well. Very happy!

Emmy was an exceptional dog sitter! She was friendly, sent me photo updates, and gave my very active springer spaniel tons of exercise. He feel asleep on the way home so I knew he had a great time, and it’s no easy feat tiring him out. Her dog Banjo was also a sweetie who got along well with my pup. Would 10/10 recommend Emmy!
