Pet care experience

10 years Veterinary experience

Certified Professional Pet Sitter (CPPS) with a current background check, I began working in veterinary hospitals in 1982 and worked a total of ten years in this field. It was during this time that I began to pet/house sit. I took care of dogs, cats and birds and worked for several clients for 20+ years. During my time working in veterinary hospitals I learned how to administer sub-q fluids, insulin and liquid and pill medications. My immediate goal is to become a full-time dog sitter/walker which will allow me to spend thirty minutes to an hour with each dog in my care. I am a walker - I do not drive - so my focus will be on long walks and ample time spent at the dog run should the client so desire. I am very attentive, meticulous and responsible and welcome the opportunity to care for senior as well as special needs pets.

Dog Walking • Mar 16, 2018

Emmy walked my dog for me while I had a long day in the office. Her communication prior to and through the walk was excellent. When there was a snafu with my building in regards to my apartment, she was patient in resolving the issue. Thanks so much for walking Bella for me!

Emmy is the only pet sitter you will ever need. She is responsible, reliable, and cares for your dog as you would care for him or her. Emmy has vet hospital experience too so she is able to adminter medication if your pet needs that which is very helpful. I was always relaxed and without a care when I would leave my pets with Emmy. You will be lucky to have found her...and most importantly so will your pet!

I like to know if they get a long well with other dogs and if they are easily spooked by certain noises or breeds of dog etc. in addition, I need to know if they are on medication and/or on a special diet.
