I'm currently a graduate student with a fairly flexible schedule, since I work from home when I'm not teaching to spend time with my own needy dog.

I won't be offering boarding, as my own dog isn't the most social with other dogs. I'm happy to visit your home or take your dog on walks around the neighborhood.

I want to know their normal behavior, how comfortable they are with strangers, whether they are friendly or aggressive with other dogs, any medical conditions, and their typical feeding schedule.
A typical day
I like to take more high energy dogs on higher intensity walks and smaller/lower energy dogs on longer but relaxed walks. I'd also be happy to play with your dog at home, just let me know their favorite toys.

Pet care experience
I have my own senior dog at home that doesn't do well with children or big dogs, so I know how important it is to pay attention when caring for a reactive dog. Currently, I'm a PhD candidate in ecology working with lizards and other wildlife. I got my BS in Animal Science at Cal Poly and completed all of the pre-veterinary requirements, although I ultimately fell in love with the research path instead. I've always been very observant and good at anticipating what my own pets need to be comfortable and happy and I'd love to help your pet feel more relaxed while you're gone.

Emme was wonderful! Our heeler can be temperamental sometimes, but Emme came over a few days before and met her, and Piper loved her! She sent pictures and was very communicative! We will definitely be using her again!!
Emme stayed at ny house for 4 nights while I was out of town. She took time to learn about my dog and his habits during the meet and greet. She asked questions and took notes. During her stay, she arrived on time, checked in often and gave me updates regularly. She is very attentive and asked questions that came up that we had not discussed. I felt my dog was cared for. I would recommend her and consider using her services again..
She was so sweet and thorough with understanding exactly what I asked to be done with my dogs and cat 🥰
He was very happy when I came home, and very well taken care of. Booked pretty last minute too, she was very accommodating
