I've cared for dogs and cats since I was a kid for my neighbors. I grew up with two cats, basically at all times, and was responsible for them, cleaning, brushing, and feeding them. I also frequently take care of my sister's dog for longer periods and have cared for multiple friends' dogs. Most of my dog-sitting experiences consist of the animal staying with me at my home and I walk, feed, and play with them. I have also done the opposite with both cats and dogs where I will visit the owner's house to care for the animals. Finally, I have taken care of both small and large dogs, giving me experience and skills with a range of pets.

In my home, I ensure the door is always closed unless the dog is leashed and we are going on a walk. I also have a small patio out front that is gated, which functions as a secondary safety door in case anything were to happen. At a client's home, I do a similar thing and ensure the door is always closed unless the dog is leashed and we go for a walk. I also would never invite anyone else over to a client's home and always am sure to give all my focus and attention to the animal I am caring for to make sure they are safe and happy.

Schedule
Currently, I am home for the summer and have a very flexible schedule, but in the past and most commonly I will visit an owner's home once in the morning and once at night to feed and walk the animal, but for dogs could also definitely do a mid-day walk, short or long. I LOVE going on long walks and hikes with dogs too!!

- Let me know if your dog has any specific feeding instructions, whether it be the actual food, how it is served, or if they need to be monitored. Love going on some longer walks, but if your smaller dog gets tired and only prefers shorter walks that would be great to know and we can do that. Any favorite toys, games, tricks, and types of people to look out for on our walks (scared of taller people, bigger dogs, etc.), and any other walking tips and tricks. But most importantly, what they enjoy doing and what makes them most happy is so important to know!
