Committing to look after your pets means that I'm committing to fitting into their life and routine as much as possible. If your pet is not very active and just wants to be around me all day and cuddle, I am happy to do that. If your pet is a bit more aloof and isn't super into spending time with humans, I will not force them into hanging out with me. I prioritize your pets comfort and respect their boundaries, and yours. If you pet has a daily schedule or routine, I do everything in my power to stick to it, no matter how "ridiculous" it may seem! No routine or ritual is too complicated or "ridiculous" to me. Pets are members of the family and I treat them with that level of respect. I listen to them and pay attention to what they're trying to communicate. Reading body language and knowing how to respond is important when it comes to building trust and I always adapt to meet them where they're at. I am very attentive and observant, especially with pets I haven't worked with before, and pay attention to their habits and make note of any changes. I understand that some dogs may be anxious with new people and that can result in changes to their potty, eating, and behavioral habits, so I keep an eye on those to make sure they dont get worse. I am also very communicative so if anything concerning pops up, I will make sure to notify you.
