I'll treat your dog like my own!

Hi! My names Emma and I'm 24 years old and a recent college graduate from Lynn University. I've been dog sitting since I was 14. Ever since I was a baby I've grown up and had a special bond with every one of my pets. I believe that they understand a lot more than we think, so thats how I treat them. And I gain their trust by using love, affection, and sometimes even treats. In my years of doing this job I have watched puppies, dogs, and cats. My goal is that when I am sitting an animal, they never feel alone, and even though I'm not there owner, we grow a bond where they can trust and think of me as someone special in their life. So, when I don't see them for a while they still remember who I am, and get excited to see me. I will treat them like they’re my own, and I like to send pictures and videos to the owners to show them that they can go away, and their animal will be okay with me. I also have recently started working at a doggy day camp about a year ago, and can have the responsibility of watching up to 25 dogs by myself.

Great. Easy to communicate and came on super short notice, which we appreciated! Our dog doesn’t particularly like new people, and she was just fine with Emma.

Emma was great! She did what I asked of her such as send me pics of our dogs, which we appreciated very much. Our flight got cancelled coming home so we were 2 days late and she stayed until we get home. Thank you again, Emma you are the greatest.

Emma took such great care of our Diesel! Very caring and diligent. We got pics and videos! Not easy taking care of a 65 pound English bulldog during a heatwave. She was amazing!

Emma did an amazing job taking care of Max. I would absolutely have her sit with him again.

Emma has been watching our crazy pup Finley while we manage a very busy summer! She has been AMAZING dealing with his high energy, all his quirks and needs. She has been very responsible in watching our home and I am pretty sure she leaves it cleaner than when we left. She updates throughout the stay and helps me feel at ease that Finn is in good hands- PLUS he absolutely adores her! I would recommend her to anyone!

Emma had my dog for an overnight stay. When I dropped off my dog I felt like I was leaving her with family. I had no worries while I left town because I knew my dog was being taken care of and receiving plenty of love. Will definitely work with Emma again for future stays!!

Schedule

I just graduated from Lynn University for a BFA in acting. I have a lot of downtime now, I’m just currently looking for acting jobs and trying to find a stable job in the meantime. And just want to do the work that I love, which is working with animals!

Where your pet will stay

Home characteristics

Lives in a house
Has an unfenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 1 dog
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 2-4 hours

Safety, trust & environment

I currently am living at my dad’s house with two dogs. I don’t know how it would work if I dog sat at my house. I would probably rather watch the animal in the comfort of their own home. Still, in all my years I find that the animal does the best in their own home.

Pets

A typical day

When I dog I always like to have fun with them. We will go on walks, go to the dog park, play fetch with any toy they desire, go on hikes, and even drive in the car with me. I don’t mind to have them sleep with me at night, just like I would my own. A crate or dog bed is totally fine as well! Mostly, I just try to read their body language and do stuff that gets them excited or that they are comfortable with.

0 to 15 lbs
16 to 40 lbs
Spayed and neutered dogs only
No females in heat
Crate-trained dogs only
Emma can host up to 2 pets per night
I don't have any breed preferences, I will take any breed. I like to know if any dog I'm watching has health issues, aggression in general or food aggression, is good with other dogs, is good with other people, or are allowed to go to the dog parks or local places for walks and hikes.
