I’m currently working part-time from home, so I’m around throughout the day and have a flexible schedule. This means I can easily fit in walks, feeding times, and check-ins, and I’m able to give pets plenty of attention rather than leaving them alone for long periods.

I live in a two room, second-floor apartment. There’s no garden, but it’s a calm, cosy space that suits pets who are happy relaxing indoors. I make sure dogs get regular walks and time outside, and I keep a close eye on them when in the flat. I should also mention that I live with my partner, Adam. He is very good with animals and is happy to provide play time and cuddles. However, I would be the main carer. When staying in a pet owner’s home, I aim to stick to your usual routines and keep things as consistent as possible so your pet feels happy and comfortable.

A typical day
I'd love to take your pup on long walks through Holyrood Park, on Portobello Beach, along Leith Walk, or anywhere else they enjoy. Back home, we'll have plenty of cuddles and playtime. I can also support with some light training if you're working on anything. I'll also send photos and updates throughout the day, so you'll never have to worry.

Hello! I’m originally from Northern Ireland and have recently settled in Edinburgh after spending the past 10 years in Berlin. I’ve been pet sitting on and off for several years and have experience caring for both cats and dogs with different personalities and needs. I’m comfortable with different routines, and I always aim to make pets feel safe, relaxed, and loved! I offer dog walking, pet boarding, and in-home stays, and I’m happy to tailor care to suit each pet. Emma looked after my dog Jupiter regularly while she lived in Berlin and I haven’t found a better sitter since she moved! Emma brought Jupe on long walks in the forest and he absolutely loved it. He’s quite energetic, but was always well-exercised and happily worn-out after a day with Emma. I would recommend her to anyone needing a reliable, fun, and caring dog sitter.
Emma is a patient, compassionate, knowledgeable and responsible caregiver. Emma looked after two foster dogs for me (one a puppy), and not only did she keep them safe and active, she also understood their needs and spent time doing activities with them. One of the dogs was highly reactive and Emma took great care to understand the specifics of this and work with the dog. He, of course, loved her in the end :) I highly recommend Emma's services (and if your pets could talk, they would too!)
I have two little Morkies and all I can say is that they adore Emma. The sound of her name is enough to send them into an excited frenzie! Emma is kind and patient with our dogs but at the same time due to her years of dog handling experience, professional and practical. Emma has also shown flexibility and is a delight to deal with. Highly recommended if you are looking for an experienced and loving dog companion.
