I am a photographer, so work a lot from home when editing. I have local photo shoots usually out for around 2-3 hours at a time. Otherwise, stay mainly around Cullercoats and the coast.
About Emma S.
Communication
Dog skills
Safety, trust & environment
I treat all my dogs as if they are my own. I offer day care at your own home for either a few hours dog sitting or a few weeks.
Information Emma S. would like to know about your pet
The most important thing for you to do is communicate to me what your dog needs, and how you would typically look after them. Whilst they are in my care, I will treat them as if they are my own - lots of love and attention - but follow your family rules and normal behaviours. It is essential to know how your dog behaves around other dogs and humans, and if there is something I should know in advance about your dog's behaviour - wether it be a trivial point or a life saving point.
A typical day
I am lucky enough to live right on the seafront so beach walks are really the best in our area for dogs. Whether I have to keep them on the lead, or if they are able to be off lead, we can walk for as long as the dog requires. Some dogs like to fetch balls, and others like swimming. But whatever your dog likes to do, I am happy to accommodate.

Pet care experience
My family had boxer dogs growing up, and when i had my own family we have had labradors. We lost Jack (age 12) in 2018 and Ginger (age 14) i 2025. I lived in Morpeth, Northumberland from 2004 to 2018 and for three years from 2015 to 2018 ran The Dawg Hotel from my own home, we had many guests stay with us. I closed the business as I moved away from the area, but I'm now back living in the NE on the coast so have started The Dawg Hotel Whitley Bay from January 2023. My main business will be to look after your pets in your own home, or own holiday accommodation whilst you are out and about. I do not look after dogs in my own home, so I will always come to you. Please message me if you have any questions. Ps I do not look after cats, nor puppies under six months old. I suffer from asthma so I need to be in a smoke free environment.
Reviews

Emma was brilliant with Dottie. I had regular updates and photos which was very reassuring. I would definitely recommend Emma to others and will be booking again.
Emma was fab both dogs seemed really happy when I came back

Zero hesitation in recommending Emma! I was a little unsure of having someone house sit, but really felt our dog would be more settled being in her own home. Emma immediately put me at ease. She was wonderful with Piper, gave her lots of fuss and I'm really pleased to have found someone reliable and trustworthy nearby ☺️

Emma was absolutely incredible. My dog can be a sensitive soul and she dealt with her beautifully. My girl had been having some tummy troubles and Emma kept me up to date with how she was doing with pictures and messages. Emma was staying for the weekend and was supposed to go home on Sunday evening, but so kindly offered to stay an extra night when I missed my flight back. I honestly couldn’t recommend Emma enough! She would be my first port of call next time I need a sitter.
