I work on a hybrid schedule close to home, which means I have the flexibility to check in on pets throughout the day. I usually take dogs out in the morning, around lunchtime when I return to my apartment to eat lunch (around 12 pm), after 5 pm after returning from work, and once more before bedtime. On days I stay at home working, i am free all day to walk the dogs or play with them for however much time they want/need. On weekends, I like to be outside and go on a walk, makes it even better do go on a walk with a dog! This routine allows me to provide consistent potty breaks, playtime, and companionship for your pup.

Safety, trust & environment

I live in a one–bedroom apartment that’s not too big or too small—just the right size for your dog to feel cozy and comfortable. Since I do have rugs and carpets, it’s very important that your doggy is potty trained before staying with me. If your dog needs more space to run or extra exercise, I’m less than a 4-minute walk from Rittenhouse Park, where we can go as often as needed for playtime, walks, and fresh air. I provide a calm and safe environment without strict or stressful rules, so your dog will always feel cared for and secure.

Information Emma R. would like to know about your pet

Extremelly important that your dog: - Is potty trained or has the least amount of accidents since I have carpets. - Is not agressive at all towards humans, wouldn’t want to have an incident. - Does not have ticks or anything health related that can be passsed on to other humans or dogs since I don’t want to be held responsible or compromise my own health. Thanks!❤️

A typical day

A typical day with your dog would include lots of love, playtime, and attention. I enjoy keeping dogs both physically active and mentally stimulated through games and interactive time. I’ll take them on walks as often as needed (up to four times a day), around the neighborhood and to Rittenhouse Park so they can explore new smells and enjoy the outdoors. I also love cuddling and spending quality time with them, making sure they feel safe, relaxed, and never alone. My goal is to follow their routine as closely as possible while keeping them happy, comfortable, and well cared for throughout the day.

Pet care experience

I’ve been around dogs my entire life—since I was a year old, my family always had dogs, and I personally raised and cared for three of my own from puppyhood through their senior years. They slept with me, sat with me and walked with me everywhere. Over the years, neighbors, friends, and family have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and care for their pets as well. I’ve also gained hands-on experience with different breeds and temperaments through volunteering with different shelters and fostering multiple dogs. I’m attentive to dogs’ signals, patient with puppies, and gentle with seniors, making sure each pet feels safe, understood, and loved.

Emma was fantastic and took great care of Cooper during his stay. She was very responsive and was proactive in sending updates and photos. She asked great questions throughout the process that showed her attentiveness and level of care she was providing. I would highly recommend!

This was our second time boarding with Emma. She was fantastic caring for my dog for 3 weeks across two boards. The first time I had to pivot after another sitter canceled last minute and she was flexible for a meet-and-greet before my dog’s stay. My dog was so happy to see Emma again! Emma communicated promptly, is incredibly sweet and keeps me at ease with regular updates, photos and thoughtful questions. We can’t wait to board with her next!

Emma was so wonderful my corgi Clyde :) she let him cuddle with her in bed and made him feel right home. She also walked him around Rittenhouse which is great for him. She was super responsive as well and I will be using her again!! Highly recommend!

Emma took incredible care of our sweet, beloved dog Bodie!!! Bodie is 14, takes medicine, and doesn’t do well with other dogs, and Emma handled it all perfectly. She was so communicative - she checked in multiple times a day with photos and always texted right back when I reached out. I’m so thankful to have found Emma - she is definitely our go-to sitter now!
