Highlights
Pet care experience
Lifelong pet caretaker with love
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology, and took a course in undergrad on the behavior and biology of dogs. During my time in college I fostered dogs of all ages, sizes, backgrounds, and behavior types as a volunteer for a local rescue for 4+ years. I am well versed in reading the body language of dogs, and reacting appropriately to keep everyone as safe as possible in any given situation! I currently have a senior mixed breed dog who I fostered and adopted. He used to struggle with leash reactivity, so I know how to best handle a dog with this sensitivity, and have a positive reinforcement take on all things dog. I worked in an emergency veterinary clinic for 2.5 years during undergrad as well, and am well versed in what to look for if your pup doesn’t seem quite right.
Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
As I mentioned in my main biography, I am well versed and trained in matters of reading body language effectively and quickly, and handle situations proactively to ensure the highest safety possible. If a safety situation does arise, I am prompt and alert under pressure.
Ratings and reviews
Emma was great with our nervous dog. She has a calm energy that put him and ease and lots of experience with all types of dogs. We recommend her!

Emma was great - we could tell our Hamilton was comfortable with her and that she provided great care. She asked great questions and did everything she could to accommodate needs. We would definitely hire her again!

We (the pets and I both) felt completely at ease after meeting Emma for our meet and greet. We were out of the country and I lost my phone so my communication was a little limited but Emma still made it happen. She was also flexible when our flights were delayed getting home! I will definitely be reaching out again for our next trip!

Emma was wonderful with my doggie, and sent great updates for each walk

Emma has watched our dogs several times while out of town on vacation and I couldn’t ask for a better dog sitter. She is great with the dogs and I know they love her as much as she loves them. 10/10 would recommend.
Emma has over 5 years of experience fostering dogs of all ages, from puppies to seniors. She is patient and loving with all of them. She currently has a senior dog who has required medical intervention in the past, so she has gained a lot of experience with administering medicines and treatments. She also has a background in zoology and experience working at an emergency veterinary hospital. Emma is more than well equipped to handle nearly any situation that may arise with your pup, and she’ll treat every single one as her own!
