I'm currently working part-time as a bartender, so I am very flexible to fit pet care into my schedule. If a client is more than 20 minutes from my residence, I prefer to do overnight care with the pet(s) to ensure they're getting the socialization and adequate care they deserve.

Safety, trust & environment
I always ask the clients what their pet needs in all aspects of pet care, including medications, enrichment methods (treats, toys, Kongs), walk frequency and duration, feed time, and amount of food. The client always knows their pet best, so I base my care on their recommendations. I also always take pictures of the pet(s) and send them to the client to keep them posted on how the pet(s) are doing!
Information Emma R. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your pet is fearful around new people. Also, please let me know if your pet requires specific medications or has medical conditions.
A typical day
With dogs, I take them on long walks to sniff the elements outside and explore their environment. I also enjoy playing toys with them in a fenced yard, as it gives them the opportunity to run freely in a safe environment. Then, I usually finish up the day with cuddles and enrichment for them to snack on. With cats, I'll play toys with them (wand toy, lasers, bells), brush them, or simply be present with them so they can enjoy my company from a distance. Some cats also like to go on walks, but I wouldn't do that unless the client specifically suggested it to me.

Pet care experience
I've volunteered at my local animal shelter since I was 11 years old! When I turned 16, I was able to socialize with cats at the shelter, and when I turned 18, I started walking dogs at the shelter. Now I am certified to walk dogs of any difficulty level! These dogs range from puppies to seniors and some have had various behavioral challenges that I navigated safely and respectfully. I pride myself on my developed knowledge of animal behavior to continue to be a pet concierge for clients.
