Pet care experience
Graduate student and animal lover
I have been dogsitting/petsitting for friends and family since I was in high school. I have also been the proud owner of a rescue cat named Beans for nearly 3 years, who, because of her background, requires some special care and lots of love. I understand that each pet has a unique personality, and I can adapt my approach to make sure your pet has the best care possible.

Safety, trust & environment
I believe the best approach is to follow detailed instructions from the pet's owner. In addition to routine questions such as feeding schedule, walking schedule, etc., I like to ask the following questions: - For dog owners, are you comfortable with people approaching/petting your dog on we're on walks, or would you prefer that I request they don't? - Are there any pre-exisiting health concerns that I should be keeping an eye on? - Is there a specific walking route that your dog is most comfortable with? - Are there any training behaviors you've been working on with your pet that you'd like me to reinforce?
Ratings and reviews
Emma came through for me on a spring of the moment trip. She took excellent care of my two kitty boys, one of which takes daily medication. She is a very sweet human and truly cares about your fur babies 🩷

Emma is wonderful!! I love the photos she sends of my cat and it's clear my kitty loves her. It gives me great peace of mind when I am traveling to have her coming in, she is very reliable. Thank you Emma!

Fantastic as always. We can always count on Emma.

If I could give Emma 10 stars I would - she’s the definition of the person you want watching your pet when you’re out of town. Our heat broke while we were away. Emma let us know and came back to bring a heated bed for Cricket while we worked remotely to get it fixed. She’s the literal best!

Emma always takes such good care of Cricket! And stepped in to also watch our foster cat while we were gone.

Schedule
I am a current graduate student at Georgetown, which means I have an extremely flexible schedule to check in on your pets! I can easily work spending time with your pets into my class schedule, especially during the summer.
- Cats0 to 15 lbs16 to 40 lbs41 to 100 lbsover 101 lbsEmma can host up to 5 drop-ins per day
- I want to make sure your pet has a comfortable and safe experience, and that being with me isn't too big of a disruption to their daily routine! Because of this, I'd like to know if there are any training behaviors you'd like me to reinforce, their dietary needs, any medical issues I should be aware of, and how they behave socially. For example, if we're on a walk and a stranger asks to pet your dog, is that something that your dog would be comfortable with? Is a dog park a good idea, or does your pet prefer not to be around others? This information will help me provide the best care possible.
