Safety, trust & environment
I treat every pet and home with the same level of care and respect as if they were my own. I’m experienced with a wide range of personalities, including shy, energetic, and independent pets, as well as those who require medication or have special needs. I take time to get to know each pet and adjust my care to their individual comfort level and routine. My goal is always to provide a calm, safe, and stress-free environment where pets feel secure and well cared for.
Information Emma P. would like to know about your pet
Important information to know ahead of time includes whether the pet is shy, crated or loose in the home, any quirks, and general routine preferences. I also need to be aware of any medical concerns, medications, or health conditions to watch for. It’s also very helpful to know about any behavioral concerns such as dog or leash reactivity, resource guarding, or cat behaviors like being “sassy” or easily overstimulated. This allows me to provide safe, appropriate care and adjust my approach to each pet’s individual needs.
A typical day
A typical day varies depending on the service, but my goal is always to provide attentive, personalized care for each pet. For dog walking, I follow the owner’s preferred walk length and routine, making sure your dog gets safe exercise, enrichment, and time to explore. I can also include playtime such as fetch in a yard if available, and will handle feeding if needed (breakfast or dinner). For drop-in visits, I focus on the pet’s individual needs—whether that’s feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, playtime, medication, or simply companionship and attention. I always follow the client’s instructions closely and adjust my care to what makes each pet feel most comfortable and secure.

Pet care experience
I’ve been working with animals for over 10 years and currently work in rescue, so I’m very comfortable with all types of personalities—playful, shy, anxious, or a little bit of everything. I know how important it is to find someone you trust, and I take that responsibility seriously. I’m the kind of person who will talk to your pets, spoil them with attention, and make sure they feel as comfortable as possible while you’re away. I’m currently looking to take on a few part-time clients for some extra income, but more importantly, to keep doing what I love—caring for animals.
