After growing up with two awesome dogs - one large, one small - I've finally become a dog mom of my own. The best part of my day is taking my boys (Frodo and Pippin, two beloved black maltipoos) on a long walk in the morning. My husband, daughters, and I live in a quiet neighborhood in West Torrance. There is a dog park nearby and plenty of safe, friendly neighborhoods to walk thru. Our pups, Frodo and Pippin, are middle aged boys and crate trained, but we let them snuggle on the bed and couch and roam the bedroom when we're gone. I stay at home with my two kids, so I am available all day to walk, play with, and care for dogs. Getting outdoors, no matter the weather, is a key component for caring for pets - it boosts the dogs' moods and, selfishly, mine - so it's a win-win! Those "Who Rescued Who?" bumper stickers are my mantra. What did we do to deserve dogs?

Emma has a very welcoming presence and made it easy for one of my more hesitant pups to warm up to her quickly! Bubbly personality and kept me up to date with pictures and text. Will certainly repeat!

I have a fenced in backyard and I live in a cul de sac on a quiet street. Plenty of space for dogs to play fetch, tons of dirt to dig in, and plenty of branches of the jacaranda tree to chew on.

A typical day
There are so many routes in our neighborhood and the neighboring neighborhoods, it’s easy to keep the same walk or switch it up! My dogs love to walk in our neighborhood near the Henrietta Basin, and for a fun adventure we will go to Point Vicente in Palos Verdes!
