A typical day
The activities really depend on the pet and their personality. Some pets love lots of play and exercise, while others prefer a calm companion nearby, so I always try to match their routine and energy level. For dogs, that usually means walks, playtime in the yard, games like fetch or tug, and plenty of attention and affection. I enjoy being outside, so I’m always happy to get them moving and give them the exercise they need. For cats, playtime with their favorite toys, laser pointers, or wand toys is always fun, along with brushing, treats, and quiet cuddle time if they enjoy it. Some cats just like having someone sit nearby while they relax, and I’m perfectly happy doing that too. My main goal is to keep pets happy, comfortable, and engaged while their owners are away, whether that means active play, mental stimulation, or simply giving them companionship and keeping their routine consistent.
