Experienced Handler of all Pets
I have taken care of all kinds of pets for over 30 years, including cats, dogs, small animals, reptiles and birds. I have been an active volunteer at the Pope Memorial Humane Society in Dover since 2015. I have had the opportunity to work with dogs of all kinds of temperaments and backgrounds at the shelter. I have experience handling puppies, small dogs, large dogs, and elderly dogs. I am comfortable handling dogs who lack leash manners and who may be reactive to other dogs. Aside from dog walking, I love caring for all small animals and cats. I have 2 sugar gliders, a hamster, a gerbil, and a chinchilla as pets.

I always approach new animals slowly and give them time to warm up to me. I take care to follow owner's instructions and treat every pet with love and respect. I have training in pet first aid and CPR. I am experienced in giving medications, including insulin shots.

I highly recommend Emma! I had a no show from a sitter. In a panic I looked for a new sitter while I was out of the state and Emma immediately answered and accepted to help watch my two cats. I will definitely be rebooking with her!

Emma is so good with our elderly cats. One of them is a picky eater/low appetite & Emma kept her eating well & did well to administer her meds. The photos and messages she sent were very reassuring.

Schedule
I work from home during regular business hours, so I am available in the mornings and late afternoon/evening. I am also available during the weekend. **I am not currently able to accept requests for recurring visits on an indefinite basis**
- CatsEmma can host up to 2 drop-ins per day
- It is important to know a dog's stress triggers and things to avoid, such as other dogs or high-traffic roads. It is also important to know any special needs or dietary concerns.
