I currently work 6:30a-5p Monday-Friday but can be available for care in the early morning and evenings as well as all day on the weekends!

I like to be shown the home/property by the pet owner prior to first individual experience with the pet. This enables pet parents to ask any questions and provide any important information about the home or the pet. This will also reduce accidents on the property if I can be made aware of possible exits to watch for pets. These all help to familiarize the animals with me so we all feel safe and can work effectively. I also try to take the pets lead when I’m in their space, more so than when sharing a walk, for everyone’s peace of mind.

A typical day
I love the stimulation activities like lick mats/blocks or toys hidden/wrapped up to challenge them further than a game of fetch, which we will do plenty of as well as walking!

Pet care experience
I have grown up around all kinds of animals and had very many of my own, gaining much experience with pet care. In the last few years I have helped my mom with boarding and walking back home in particular. I also helped raise and train a puppy for 2 years so I am familiar with training and safety procedures for dogs of all ages. I also love cats—currently have one of my own—and can navigate other pets in the home if required!

My daughter Emma has helped me care for numerous dogs that I have watched through rover. She has away of making each one feel loved and safe. She is great with puppies but also does well with elderly dogs and dogs with high anxiety.
