Lost my reactive dog in 2025 and looking to open my house to dogs/cats who excel in home boarding. I work from home and miss having a pet during the day. My kids are young but dog smart due to having grown up near a reactive dog. I have worked in dog/cat kennels, volunteered with the BCSPCA, fostered a mamma dog and her 6 puppies when only 1 week old and have developed my reactive dog skills over the past 15+ years. Love all dogs large and small.

Emma took wonderful care of Tisha! She kept us updated, sent photos, and was very attentive to his needs and routine. Tisha seemed happy and comfortable with her and her family. This was Bella’s first time staying with someone she didn’t know. Emma and her kids were great with her. They made her feel at home. I received lots of photos and updates. Bella gets a bit of separation anxiety as we are learning. Emma was very supportive of that and comforted her as needed. As a fur mom being away from her puppy this was really appreciated. Thank you Emma and Harper 😉 for taking such good care of her!
Huge thank you to Emma for helping us with overnight care for our two dogs. She provided us with photos and updates which was great. Her fenced yard was a bonus for us and her love and care of dogs is excellent. Our young boy dog was hard to settle as he was experiencing anxiety with us leaving him but she was exceptional in her patience working with him. I would highly recommend Emma for the care of your dogs.
Emma was amazing in watching our dog Junebug! Not only did she make sure our dog was fed and taken care of, but she went the extra mile! She took Junebug to the dog park on a regular basis, sent pictures and updates regularly. I can tell my dog was super comfortable with her and her family, and I would highly recommend her to any dog owner looking for a temporary home for your pet while you travel.

Schedule
I work from home so available throughout the day for the animals needs. My schedule is quite flexible on weekends and weekdays and I can accommodate most requests.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a 6ft fenced in back yard, areas for animals to have calm time and an open floor plan. My kids are home in the afternoon/evening and weekends but we live in a split house and can accommodate separation if needed.
A typical day
As I had a previously large breed dog (pitbull cross) I have multiple toys that accommodate big dogs. We have a tether toy in the back for dogs who love tug of war!
